Chapter 2
“Yes, I’ll take the room.” Evy said. She couldn’t’ help but grin from ear to ear. She couldn’t believe how easy she found a room. It took her weeks to find a flat in America.
“Wicked! Here’s all the papers.” Aurora handed Evy some papers to start signing. A few moments later the door opened and in walked a tall girl with short brown hair. “Kristina, this is our new roommate Evy. Evy this is Kristina.”
“Hullo!” Evy said.
“Hi! This is great! We’re gonna have so much fun, but now I gotta go check on the fish. See ya later!” Kristina walked out of the room and into her bedroom to look after her fish. Evy finished signing all the papers and handed them back to Aurora. “So when do I move in?” she asked.
“Umm, how bout today? If that’s cool with you. I mean you can move in whenever.”
“Sure, today’s fine. All my stuff is at my mom’s house in wherever she lives. I could have her drive it down here. Actually she’ll probably want me to go up there, see my brother, stupid retard.” Aurora laughed at Evy’s comment. “I take it you don’t like your brother.”
“Well I guess he’s okay. I haven’t seen or talked to him since I left for America 2 years ago. He was always a little strange. Wearing lip gloss and things like that.”
“Hahahahahaha! That’s funny, my brother’s pretty cool. He and I get along really well. But he’s gone right now so you’ll have to wait to meet him. So are we going to go?”
“Sure, I don’t have too much crap. It should only take a little while. Let me call my mum.” Evy picked up the phone and dialed her mums number. They chatted for a few minutes and then evy hung up.
“She wants me to go up and see her a few days. So I guess I’ll be back on like Friday. I’ll just take the bus up. See you guys later. Bye Kristina!” she yelled as she walked out the door.
