FRONT OF THE CHASSIS WITH THE CRT REMOVED. THE DANGLING CAP IS EASIER TO SEE HERE. AS PHILCO LIKED TO DO, THE BOTTOMS OF THE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS ARE INACCESSIBLE FROM THE OTHER SIDE. I WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THEM TO RECAP. THE CEMENT RESISTOR SEEN AT THE BOTTOM LEFT WILL ALSO BE REPLACED OUT OF PRECAUTION. I ALREADY CLEANED THE TUNER AND CONTROLS. |

REAR OF CHASSIS. THE SELENIUM RECTIFIER WILL MAKE A NICE CLUNK WHEN IT HITS THE BOTTOM OF THE GARBAGE CAN, AS I WILL REPLACE IT WITH A SILICON DIODE. THE HOT CHASSIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ONCE I KNOW WHICH MODIFICATION I WILL NEED TO DO. THE FUSIBLE LINK WILL BE REPLACED WITH AN INLINE FUSE. I WILL UPDATE ONCE MY WORKLOAD EASES. |
