Background:
Sara Martinez is the only child of Juan and Diane Martinez. Juan is an air traffic controller at Chicago's O'Hare airport. Diane is a pilot for American Airlines. Sara also wanted to be a pilot, when she began taking flying lessons, her powers started to manifest. Sara didn't know how to control her gift, which caused major problems with her learning to pilot aircraft. At her father's urging, Sara went to Medical School. Unfortunately for Sara, she is afraid of the sight of blood, which posed major obstacles to her education (see Weaknesses). After her first year of medical school, a disillusioned Sara dropped out. It was at that point in her life that she was recruited by the Directive, an organization dedicated to training metahumans and mutants to control their powers and use them for the good of society. The Directive assigned her to her current group of superheroes, which include Atom Minx, Doppleganger, Golem and Mad Badger.
About this character:
Tempest was obviously inspired by one of my favorite X-men, Storm. My other fave X-man is Wolverine, however one of the other players had already used Wolverine as an inspiration (that would be the Mad Badger) so I went with Storm. So far I have enjoyed playing Tempest quite a bit, and hope I continue to do so.
