When he finally got the nerve to ask her if he could go see her..She started to date again and he dissapeared..No more emails..No more calls..But she didnt notice..she was too wrapped up in her new relationship that she didnt notice.
Months went by and she got a new job. Didnt pay much but she was content for now and still in
love. She thought of her friend on day and was wondering why he hasnt been online but she thought he must be busy or something so she let it go at that One day, she stepped out of her apartment to find a homeless man sitting at the door..She turned towards him and asked him very nicely to leave and he held out a flower to her and said "for a pretty lady" She was really pissed!! Wanted him to leave so she called the manager and he kicked the man off the land.
When she got home from work, the homeless man was there and again, without looking at her..He offered her a flower saying "for a pretty lady" She again called for the manager and the manager again kicked him off the land
This went on for along time till finally the manager was so upset that he called the police
The police came and arrested the man that night The next morning..he was back in his usual spot with a flower and she thought to herself "Thats it..this is the LAST time..Im going to make sure he doesnt come back again..Even if he has to spend 30 years in jail!!!" and she went to work
At work, she received a phone call from her boy friend...He said it was over between them and there was no way to make him change his mind..she was heartbroken...It finally happened..the big hurt and she felt there was no one there for her anymore...She left work early and started walking to the beach feeling numb and not noticing anything...When she got there it was allready dark but she didnt care..Shed been there many times alone, just to cry or to think...
She heard a noice and before she could turn around..she was pushed to the ground and a knife was at her throat in an instant!!! She heard a cruel voice telling her that if she screamed he would kill her like she was nothing!!! She felt the tearing of her clothes and couldnt believe this was happening!!!! All at once, she heard a cry and felt the weight being dragged off her!!!
When she collected her wits she looked around and saw two men rolling around on the ground..she
was SAVED!!! On closer look, she noticed one of the men was the SAME homeless man who sat at her door every morning and every night offering her a flower..she grew mad! she thought.."This is MY homeless
man!!! Hes shown nothing but kindness to me..Ive got to help him!!!" When she got closer, he looked over at her and mouthed one word...RUN and he kept repeating it...RUN So she ran..she ran as fast as she could home!!
Before she went in though..she picked up a flower near the door and laid it where he always sat waiting for her..
The next morning, she called in work and went out to get the paper... Where the homeless man use to sit was the flower..untouched She looked at the paper and the front page read
HOMELESS MAN FOUND MURDERED ON BEACH
She couldnt believe it!! He had saved her life and died for it..she didnt even KNOW him!!! She read the small article and on the next page was a picture of him and she thought he looked fimilar but she didnt think she knew anyone like that and went back inside. She thought her phone was ringing so she hurried inside and indeed it WAS ringing..When she answered the phone, it was a police officer who asked her to come to the station because they had questions to ask her about the man found murdered..
They were simple questions they asked...how long she knew him..When was the last time she saw him alive and she told them what had happened the night before and after afew hours they were about to release her but they had to ask one more question "Why was he carrying a picture of you?" She said she didnt understand so they showed her the picture they took off the homeless man and she gasped..it was a faded picture and there was only one other person who had that picture...her friend who she met on the net..her friend who vanished and looking at the man's picture again..she realized it WAS him..He had saved her life but WHY was he homeless!! Why didnt he tell her it was him!?!?
You see....The last time she fell in love..He grew tired..he grew tired of seeing her get hurt from all the break-ups..he couldnt do anything for her over here.. So he sold everything he had..Gave away everything that he couldnt sell and left.. Bought a one-way plane ticket to the west coast with just the clothes on his back..
He planned this for weeks..He made sure he knew where she lived and worked before he left..And all becuase he loved her and didnt want to see her hurt anymore
He did EVERYTHING right till the night he saw her in trouble.. He let his emotions and love for her get in his way.. If he handled it right, he probley wouldnt of been dead...If he had taken a rock or a log or something to defend himself he would of lived but he let his emotions take over and threw aside reason For if you are in love..Reason must also be part of it.. You can rush into things like he did and maybe everything will come out allright but nothing is gained if you rush into love.
