| Magdalena was born on June 7, 1976 to Natalia and Andreas Leitner. The Leitners were world renowned experts in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean archaeology. Magdalena grew up on archaeological digs from Turkey to Egypt. When she started school, her paternal grandmother moved from Germany to Colorado to raise her. She continued to spend summers abroad with her parents, digging up the remains of ancient civilizations. Her parents were killed in an accident on a dig site when she was 12 years old. Their bodies were never found, but no one could have survived the explosion. From then on, it was just Magda and her Oma. They moved from Boulder, Colorado to Lansing, Michigan after Magdalena's sophomore year in high school. Magdalena decided to pursue a career in cosmetology after her move east. By the time that she was 21 years old, she was the top stylist in Lansing. Her grandmother died the same year and Magda decided to use part of her estate to open her own salon. It took off right away, and is now the salon to see and be seen in! Magdalena is ambitious and hardworking. She values logic and rational thinking above 'feelings'. She didn't have a very close relationship with her parents, as they spent extended periods of time apart. She loved her Oma very much and after she died, Magdalena vowed never to get emotionally attached to anyone else. She has been on her own for most of her life and trusts in herself. |
