| Mrs. Millicent Blacca | ||||||||||||
| Mrs. Blacca is Magdalena's next door neighbor. She has resided there since the houses were built in the late 1940's. Her husband (Roscoe) had just returned from WW2 and they looked forward to a life of promise as the post-war economics surged upwards. Roscoe owned a tool and die shop in Lansing and Millicent was a librarian at the University for 30 years. The Blacca's had one son. His name was Harry Delano Blacca and he was born in 1950. Roscoe suffered a major heart attack in 1972. He died before the ambulance reached the hospital. Harry inherited his father's business, but sold it and moved to San Francisco, California where he changed his name to Ramananda. Millicent continued to work at the U until being diagnosed with lung cancer in 1986. |
