| The Story Behind The Baby: Ginny found out that she was pregnant about 2 months into her pregnancy. She quit smoking and drinking immediately. 7 months went by. In the last month Ginny's blood pressure went up and she had toximia (can't spell!) The baby was in danger, but Ginny took good care of herself, and the baby wasn't in a lot of danger. Then, on August 15, Ginny, Bill, my mom and dad, Billy (Bill's son from another marriage), Tiffany, Lauren, and I went to Fernando's...a mexican restaurant w/ karaoke for a night of food and...bad singing. We all had fun, then, at about 9pm went home. Lauren spent the night. She was on the phone with her cousin until really late, so we just kept the phone in our room. As we were talking, it got quieter because we started getting very tired. Then, at 12:52am on August 17, the phone ringed. We all thought it was Tiffany's friend Aber...but when she answered the phone, that's not who was on the other line. Here is the conversation between Tiffany..and the caller: Caller: Is your mom awake? Tiffany: No, but I can wake her up. WHAT HAPPENED? Caller: Nothing...just get your mom. Tiffany (while running to parent's room): What happened!? What happened!? Caller: I think my water broke. Yes, the caller was Ginny...and her water DID break. She started having contractions at about 1:45am. The day went by quickly...family and friends were in the hospital room. My mom, being the coach, stayed by Ginny's side the entire time...from 1am until Friday night. At about 4:15pm the doctor decided that she was ready to push. At 4:35pm..she started to puch. Then, at 5:10pm, Michael Garrett...was born. The nurses cleaned him off...everyone held him, then...when he was about 2 hours year old (lol) the nurse gave him his first bath. The End. Pictures |
