| We checked out a SR coupe at a wrecking yard that my uncle told us about. It was missing the head lights & guards & many other pieces. Most were stored in the cab. They were asking $150 + $20 to send it over on a trailer. We asked about a front spoiler, they guy said he wanted a few hundred for it. After that the ol'man said its up to me if I want it or not. I rung around a few other yards, I was quoted $40-$100 each for a guard, (the 4 door, coupe & wagon all fit each other) So I slept on the idea of it all. It was going to cost a bit more than a complete car, & time wise it'll take a while also. In the morning I decided to go for it. We agreed on the $150 for it, $20 for delivery & he gave up the body kit piece for $150. So I now owe Dad $300 (I paid the $20 myself) Im now waiting on the front guards ownership papers, which should take 2 days from when I write this. |
| BODY CONDITION Like I said before, its missing the front guards. But also it needs some weilding on the chasis coz it looks like its been hit in the front left hand guard. The body had a few spots of bog, & has been sand blasted over much of it. The windscreen had been popped out, the seals around it are stuffed! The front seats have been replaced with Turbo Nissan seats, coz they're embroyded with the word 'turbo' on them. & theres no head lights either. The spoiler is a few different colors, but over all, only has 1 crack in it. |
| As it has been raining alot recently, we needed some sort of cover, but we didnt have any! Wanting to attack the project straight away, I went looking through the pile in the boot, many little trinkets lying in a pool of water, but there was a plastic cover at the bottom! After grabbing a box to put all the extras into, I eventually pulled out the cover to cover the windscreen. I then went straight to pulling apart the pile in the cab as well. |
