Ash Williams with his sister Cheryl, girlfriend Linda and friends Scotty and Shelly all decide to take a vacation and head up to the mountains to rent out a cabin. ( Hmm i wonder what could happen next? )
After crossing what can be only decribed as the most run down bridge in America they arrive at their cosy little cabin surrounded by the cosy little woods.
As they all settle in they soon find that someone else had arrived before them, leaving their stuff lying around. Searching the fruit celler bellow the cabin they find a strange book and a tape recorder........
Bringing the book and Tape recorder back up with them, the group sit round and switch it on.
What follows it a detail description of the strange book given by a Professor Raymond Knowby.....
I believe i have made a signifificant find in the Candarians Ruins: A Volume of Ancient Sumarian burial practices and ritual incarnations. It is entitled 'Necronomicon Ex Mortis' which i believe , in english is 'Book Of The Dead '
This book is bound in Human flesh and written in blood. The volume itself speaks of Demons and evil forces that roam the dark bowels of Mankind domain. The first few chapters warn of how these enduring creatures may lie dormant for all time but are never truly dead. They may be summoned to life throught the resurection passages presented in this book. It is through these passages that these demons are given the powers to command or possess the living........
Being Teenagers, They continue to listen on as the Professor's voice now begins to speak out aloud the resurection passages. Soon the Evil Forces are awoken one again to terrorise the living, slowly they make their presence known to the young group of travellers....
After a brief argument with Scotty, Cheryl heads out into the woods for a walk, only to be attacked and what can only be decribed as 'raped' by the surrounding forrest who are being controled by the Evil forces..
One by One they are all possesed becoming hosts to evil demons and turned into inhuman zombies known as 'Deadites'. Further listening to the tape recorder uncovers that the only way to truly kill them is to bodily dismemeber their corpses.( This is shown when Shelly is cut up slowly with an axe by Scotty) Through out the night Ash is haunted by his friends that have become possesed. Including his girlfriend Linda. Listening to the recordings once more left by the professor, Ash learns more and more about what they have unleashed......
While under attack from one of the Deadites, Its head begins to smoulder, Ash looks over to see the Necro- caught alight.. This gives him the idea to throw the Evil book into the fire. After acomplishing this Ash watches as the remaining deadites fall to pieces and die around him.
Leaving the Cabin in the early hours of daylight, Ash is left physically and emotionally drained. Unknown to him the destruction of the book did not vanquish the evil for good. In a last ditch attempt the Evil races through the cabin to the weary Ash.
As he turns round, Ash seems the Evil approach him and lets out a scream of defeat and terror before everything fades to black..... |
