remember
| This a day that America in many of our lifetimes have cried as we never have before. We cried for lives lost in such a tragic way. We cried with the families as they became more than a memory to us but as a face was put to the memory. We cried when we saw the little children without their daddies, or mothers expecting to deliver just days after their husbands were lost. We cried for the newlyweds that had a short time together. We cried with the families around the world whose mothers and fathers will never fly across the seas and the oceans to come home again. This morning, Sept. 23rd, I cried again as I spoke to a widow of six small children. I cried again when I thought about us just forgetting God as the years have gone by. |
Lord God our Father, we bless your name Even when faced with such horrible things Even as we want this day to go away Help us to humble ourselves, fall on our knees and pray
For as the children of God, and called by his name only we can pray for the healing of our land Even as we look, and can hardly believe saying this could never happen, in our homeland, land of the free, and home of the brave
Evil men soared through or skies, souls so precious lost their lives, Now etched in our minds, destruction and the loss We pray for all families, so affected both here and abroad
Heal the hurt, wipe away the tears Comfort all as they lay safe in your arms Whisper words so soothing and sweet That minister to each heart replacing the sadness for joy |

| May we all remember what is really important in this world. It's not riches, or houses, or land. It is our families, our love ones, and other people in this world, that we are to love and lend a hand as we are now doing as never before. May we continue also, in the days to come, in prayer for the United States and others around the world. May we forever remember to fall on our knees and pray. May our chanting be GOD! GOD! GOD! |
| Never will we forget, but remember with love |
