I want to thank my beta for all of her help.
This is the story of Little Curious Fox. He wasn't always called Little Curious Fox; once he was called only Fox Skinner. He lived with his Daddy, Walter Skinner, Jr.
He earned his nickname by always letting his curiosity lead him into trouble. The first time was when he overheard his Daddy talking on the telephone. He heard his Daddy mention a "stake out" and "aliens" and immediately became so curious that he had to find out what was going on.
His Daddy mentioned that he would be joining the stake out after he had put Fox to bed for the night. Fox had other plans. That night after he had been put to bed and tucked in he heard his Daddy talking to the babysitter and he hurried from his bed and got dressed. He then fixed his bed to look like he was in it. He peeked out and saw his Daddy still talking to the babysitter and he sneaked out of the house and into the back seat of the car. He got down on the floorboards and waited for his Daddy to go to the stakeout.
He heard his Daddy get into the car and felt the car move. After driving for several minutes he felt it slow down and eventually stop. His Daddy got out of the car and walked away. Fox followed slowly behind. He saw his Daddy get into the back of a blue van. He hid behind a tree and sat down to wait the arrival of the "little green men" he knew were coming.
They waited for hours, suddenly Fox heard noises and cries and got curious and looked around the tree. He saw his Daddy arrest several men and they were not green. That made him so curious that he jumped up and yelled, "Where are the little green men?"
His Daddy turned around and bellowed, "Fox, where did you come from
and why are you here?" Fox looked at his Daddy and said, "I heard
you...you were going to a stakeout and meet some aliens. Where are
the green men from outer space?"
His Daddy had reached him by this time and swung him up and quickly
over his thigh and gave him several hard swats on his jean-covered bottom
and then sat him back down. "Owwwww," cried Fox as he rubbed his
bottom. "I was just curious. I've never seen an alien and I
just wanted to."
"Your curiosity has just earned you a spanking when I get you home," cried Daddy. "You could have been hurt tonight, following me like that," and after learning he was no longer needed he pulled his bad boy along after him and put him in the front seat with him.
The journey back to the house seemed to go so much faster than it had leaving it several hours earlier. They met the babysitter and after explaining what had happened Daddy paid her and sent her home with his thanks. Daddy pulled Fox along to his room and sitting in the nearest chair pulled him over his thighs. Soon Fox was bottomless and his Daddy spanked him hard, turning his slightly pink bottom red as a beet. Fox cried and cried and his only defense was, "I was just curious."
The next incident happened when Fox went to school and got curious about how the fire alarm worked and accidentally set it off sending several fire trucks to the school, with sirens blaring. Daddy was called to the school and told what his son had done.
Fox told his Daddy that it was an accident he was curious on how the alarm worked and set it off. He was spanked as soon as he returned from school.
The next incident occurred when Fox accompanied his Daddy to the Sporting Goods Store and managed to wreck the display because he was curious on how it was set up. His Daddy wasn't happy. His son's curiosity was leading him into trouble and he had to try and slow it down. The first thing to catch his eye was a ping-pong paddle and bought it.
When they got home Daddy showed Fox his purchase and said, "I will call you my Little Curious Fox and this paddle will help you to rein in your curiosity." He then introduced Fox to his stinging paddle to the seat of his pants. That worked pretty good but when applied to his bare bottom it had the desired effect for a bit longer.
Now whenever you see Little Curious Fox, his Daddy, with the sting paddle is never to far behind to help Little Curious Fox behave.

Daddy Goes Shopping
By Peppe
Before Fox became Little Curious Fox his Daddy had no need of a paddle. But as soon as Fox acquired his name his Daddy had to find just the right instrument to use in correcting his Little Curious Fox when he followed his curiosity into trouble.
While Fox was in school his Daddy went shopping for just he right paddle. First he went to "Toys R Us" and located the old children's toy that had a ball on an elastic string attached to a paddle. The paddle fit his hand, but it just wasn't what he wanted, and he put it down.
He next went into a sporting goods shop and picked up a ping-pong paddle and a paddleball paddle. They two were good but not what he was looking for.
He next went in a superstore and wandered around until stopping at the kitchen area. He picked up spatulas, wooden spoons and oven paddle. He even considered a cutting board in the shape of a paddle before putting it down as being too heavy. He went again to the oven paddle and smacking it against his leg muttered out loud, "I wish there was a place that sold only paddles," and out of the blue a passing stranger said, "Try "Paddles R Us" on Hwy 7," and he was gone. Daddy did buy the oven paddle to keep as a reserve at home if needed and went to find the store the stranger mentioned.
He drove only a few minutes before finding the store mentioned. He walked in to find paddles and other instruments of discipline all over the place. He saw paddles of all sizes and thickness and was overwhelmed with the sizes and shapes. Finally a clerk came over and asked, "Was there anything special you were looking for, Sir?"
Daddy looked up and said, "I'm looking for a paddle that is small enough to fit into my back pocket that stings when applied to the bare bottom. I don't want to bruise or cause in lasting damage. Can you help me?"
The clerk looked at him and smile, "I think I have just the thing and led him through rows and rows of paddles. The clerk stopped in front of a wall and in between the Hairbrush Paddle and the Spatula Paddle was just what he was looking for. It was simply called a Pocket Paddle. Daddy lifted it and smacked his leg and found that it did indeed sting and that it fit snugly in his back pocket.
"Thank you this is just what I wanted." He then shocked the clerk, "I'll take a dozen please." After the 12 paddles had been wrapped up and paid for Daddy returned in time to pick Little Curious Fox up from school. He know felt that he was prepared to help Fox curb his curiosity.
"How was school, " he asked as Fox reluctantly handed him a piece of
paper. After reading it he motioned to Fox to drop his pants and
come to him. After pulling the boy over his thighs he said, "I'm
about to introduce you to my new paddle. Now for disrupting class
today how about 6 licks." SMACK, OWWWWWWW, SMACK, OWWW, SMACK, OOOHHHH,
and now for the other cheek SMACK, OWWWW, SMACK,
OWWWWW, SMACK, OOHHWWW.
It was afterwards that Fox nicknamed the paddle, the Stinging Paddle.
Now where ever Little Curious Fox went there went Daddy, with the Stinging Paddle.

Little Curious Fox Goes to Jail
By Peppe
There once was a little boy called Little Curious Fox and he lived with his Daddy, the man with the stinging paddle.
One day Little Curious Fox came home with a permission form he wanted his Daddy to sign to allow him to go on a school approved field trip. They were going to go to the local Police Department. Daddy said, "Now Fox this isn't the place for you go off and follow your curiosity into trouble," but he gave his permission anyhow.
The next day Daddy reinforced his warning, "Fox remember not to follow your curiosity into trouble," and let him off and went on to work.
Little Curious Fox followed his teacher, Mrs. Thomas and his classmates in to the local Police Department where nice Police Officer Green, who was to show them around, met them. "Now stay together and I will show you the sights." Officer Green showed them where the criminals were processed, where they were fingerprinted, interrogated and finally where they were locked up. He had taken them to an unused area of cells and left them for a moment.
While he was gone Mrs. Thomas said, "Class, lets go into the cells and get a real feel of being locked up." Since it was a small class they all fit in, Fox bringing up the rear didn't actually enter the cell. Mrs. Thomas then said, "Now class I want you to imagine being in here as the cell door is actually closed," and CLUNK the cell door was slammed shut. As one the class and Mrs. Thomas turned to see the smiling face of Little Curious Fox.
"Fox!" Screamed Mrs. Thomas, "You knew that was the wrong thing to do," and at Fox's nod, she continued, "Then why did you?" Fox said, "I was curious about what it would feel like to be the one to slam the door, so I did. I'm sorry, I'll go and get help," and before she could stop him that is what he did.
Soon he came back followed by Officer Green who hurried to unlock the cell. "I don't understand," stammered the police officer, "when I left you were all on the outside of the cells and the doors were opened."
Mrs. Thomas nodded towards Fox and told him what had happened. Officer Green shook is head and remarked, "Well, at least he came and got me, now if you will follow me we have some wanted posters set up for you to see," and led the way out of the lockdown.
Little Curious Fox was again bringing up the rear when he heard something and got curious and left the group to follow his curiosity back into trouble. He followed the sound down a long hall and out the door. What he saw aroused his curiosity yet again. A police car shrieked to a halt with is lights flashing. An officer hurried from the car and left it idling in front of the station. Fox wondered what switches worked the sirens and which ones work the lights and his curiosity was peeked and he went to find out. He opened the door and peered in.there were several buttons and switches and he played with them all until he happened on one and suddenly a piercing siren went off. Little Curious Fox leaned back in satisfaction...cool.
Back in the Police Station Mrs. Thomas had discovered she was missing one student and as soon as she heard the siren and witnessed the startled expressions of the police officers she knew which one was missing and where he was. A little while later Little Curious Fox was ushered into the room and handed over to his teacher.
When Mrs. Thomas looked at her student for an explanation Fox replied with, "I was just curious about what switches turned on the sirens and flashing lights."
They returned to the school and when Daddy pulled up to pick up Fox he wasn't surprised to see a flustered Mrs. Thomas waiting with Fox. She handed Daddy a note and left without a word. This did surprise Daddy and he turned to Fox for an explanation. Fox was quick to reply, "She got a headache today and didn't want to stay and talk."
Daddy nodded and motioned for Fox to get into the car and they drove home. Once in the house Daddy opened the note and read. His eyebrow came up at the mention of "teacher and class being locked in cell" and again at the mention of "police car with flashing lights and sirens going." He sighed and reached for his new pocket-stinging paddle and went to baptize it on Little Curious Fox's bare bottom.
Later he marveled at the way his new paddle turned Little Curious Fox's bottom a bright red and in such a short time. SMACK...SMACK...SMACK...SMACK.
"OOOHHHHWWWWWW, I'm sorry," sobbed Little Curious Fox with the red and stinging bottom.
The End
There once was a little boy called Little Curious Fox because he was always letting his curiosity get him in trouble. He lived with his Daddy, the man with the stinging paddle.
One day Fox and his Daddy were walking in a park and came upon a small kitten hiding near a bush. "It must be lost," said Daddy, who promptly picked it up. "We must take it to the nearest animal shelter until someone claims it."
Fox and his Daddy drove to the Welcome Pets Animal Shelter and went right in. They handed the kitten over to the nice lady wearing the white lab coat, who came out to meet them. "We found this lost kitten," said Daddy as he handed the kitten over.
"Thanks so very much," said the nice lady as she cradled the little kitten in her arms. Would you please come with me and sign some papers on where the kitten was found, so we can place an ad in the paper about the lost kitten? Your son can wait for you here and look at the many pets we have for adoption." Turning towards Fox the nice lady said, "Please remember that you can touch but do not open any of the cages; we already have a lost puppy roaming around here and we do not need any more."
Fox nodded and started off to look around. "Fox," warned his Daddy, "remember what will happen if you let your curiosity lead you into trouble," patting his back pocket as well.
Fox nodded and continued his way around the room. He saw many
types of pets. There was a snake in a glass cage, a parrot on a tall
perch, and many cats in cages surrounding the room. He discovered
that there were no puppies anywhere. That was curious. He happened
to stop near a door leading elsewhere when he heard barking. He looked
quickly at his Daddy and found him talking with the nice lady and darted
out the door, leaving it partly opened.
The door opened up into a long hall. Fox heard more barking,
this time it came at the end of the hall. Surely the puppies would
be found wherever the barking was located.
Fox followed the barking until he came to a large room that had a large cage in it. At first he saw and heard nothing. That was curious, he was sure that the barking came from this room. He slowly approached the cage and saw a tail wagging from with in. The closer he got the better he saw the puppies in the cage. There were black puppies, yellow puppies, puppies with spots. There were puppies with long hair and puppies with short hair. Some were jumping up and down and others were just wagging their tails, but all were barking excitedly at him.
Suddenly he wanted to pat one, so he slowly put his hand through the wire and one of the puppies licked it. Encouraged he moved his hand until he found himself patting the top of the longhaired puppy. Oh, the hair was so silky and soft that he now wanted to hold one. He withdrew his hand and opened the cage just a little bit when suddenly all the puppies pushed their way past him and into the hall. Soon all of the puppies were running up the hall and into the main room. There were puppies all over the place. Some were barking at the cats and parrots while others were peeing in excitement all over the floor. Fox came running afterwards to try and help round them up.
Suddenly he found himself lifted and carried from the room. His Daddy carried him to the first vacant room he came to. The door was closed and locked and then Little Curious Fox found his bottom bared and himself deposited over the thighs of his Daddy. His Daddy had found a straight back chair to sit in as he positioned Little Curious Fox over his thighs.
As he removed his trusty, stinging paddle from his back pocket his Daddy said, "I warned you what would happen if you let your curiosity lead you into trouble," and administered the first lick.
"Owwwwwwwwhhhhhh," Little Curious Fox screamed as he felt his bottom heat up with each lick. His Daddy kept up a steady rhythm with his stinging paddle until he had painted Little Curious Fox's bottom a bright RED. By the time the paddling was over and Fox's bottom redressed all of the puppies had been rounded up, including the lost pup, and returned to their cage.
Taking a sobbing Fox by the hand, Daddy returned to the main room. The nice lady approached Fox with a cute puppy in her arms. "Please, Little Curious Fox, don't cry. If you will stop I will give you this cute puppy, if your Daddy will agree."
Fox turned his tear-stained face towards his Daddy and cried, "Please, can I have the puppy? I promise to try and behave better next time."
Daddy, with the stinging paddle, relented and soon Daddy, with the stinging paddle back in his pocket and Little Curious Fox, with the red bottom, left carrying the puppy in his arms.
The End.
There once was a little boy who was called Little Curious Fox and he lived with his Daddy, the man with the stinging paddle.
One day Daddy and Fox went to the Library to get some books that his Daddy could read to him at home. While there the nice Librarian wearing a big smile greeted them, "Hi, today we have a storyteller here to tell stories to the children. Why don't you let your little boy stay and listen; she is really good. She isn't due for another 15 minutes plenty of time for you to pick out your books beforehand."
Fox looked up at his Daddy and pleaded, "Please can I stay?" His Daddy looked down into that pleading face and said, "Yes, but first let's pick out your books to take home with us," and that is exactly what they did.
Before returning downstairs to check out his books Daddy turned to his Little Curious Fox and said, "Behave and don't let your curiosity led you into trouble," and went down the stairs to check out the books and wait for Story Time to be over.
Little Curious Fox went to sit with the other children to wait for the Story Teller to arrive. After waiting for nearly 10 minutes without getting into trouble Fox got bored and decided to walk around. He saw other shelves of books at the other side of the room and got curious on who they were for and wandered over.
He went to one of the shelves and pulled out a book. It was heavier and thicker than the ones he and his Daddy had picked up and he eagerly opened it. He was disappointed not to find any pictures only pages of letters. He returned it to the shelf < spine in > and wandered to another row. He pulled another book out to find the same thing and wandered on with book in his hand. Later on he returned it to the shelf in the same manner as before.
Fox looked up and gasped at how high the books went. He saw that there was space at the top and the shelves looked like steps to him and decided to climb up to the top. He scrambled up the shelves knocking books over or pushing them completely out and onto the floor.
Daddy, with the stinging paddle, was sitting quietly reading the paper when he heard an uproar and it was coming from upstairs where the Children's Department was and got up and moved upstairs. He knew instinctly that his Little Curious Fox was somehow responsible for it. He hurried upstairs and found several of the Librarians and all of the children, standing in front of the Adult Fiction section, looking upward and pointing. He naturally looked up and saw his Little Curious Fox and he was on top of the bookshelf.
Several of the Librarians and the Story Teller were trying to coax him down and he was refusing to come down. Daddy moved quickly and bellowed, "Fox, come down now!!!" Fox tentatively looked at his father's face and shook his head, "No!" He knew that look and what it meant and decided it was safer where he was.
"Fox William Skinner, you come down at once or I WILL COME AND GET YOU AND PUNISH YOU ON THE SPOT!!" roared Daddy. The threat worked like a charm and Little Curious Fox scrambled back down. He felt himself lifted from the shelf as soon as he came within reach of his Daddy. His Daddy pulled him into a tight embrace and said, "OH, Fox, you could have been hurt climbing that book shelf." Fox felt safe in that embrace and asked, "Does that mean you aren't going to paddle me?"
His Daddy set him back down on the floor and looking into that hopeful face replied, "What do you think?" Little Curious Fox's face fell. He knew exactly what that meant. But then his Daddy continued, "But not now. Now we have some stories to listen to and taking his son by the hand led him back to the area where Story Time was to be held.
Daddy sat on the floor and placed his son on his lap and knowing that Little Curious Fox would be unable to let his curiosity lead him into trouble, and they sat back and listened to the stories.
Upon returning home the first thing Daddy, with the stinging paddle,
did was to paddle Little Curious Fox, SMACK, SMACK. SMACK!!!
Little Curious Fox Goes to the Zoo
By Peppe
There once was a little boy called Little Curious Fox and he lived with his Daddy, the man with the stinging paddle.
Once day Fox went to the zoo with his class, Mrs. Thomas still the teacher. Fox was very excited about going and Daddy warned him not to follow his curiosity into trouble. Fox nodded and was allowed to accompany his class to the local zoo. He was curious about several of the animals and he wanted to see them for himself.
The first place they came to was the Monkey compound. There were monkeys are over the place. Many of them were mimicking the people and Fox thought that was funny and began to do the same. The people laughed at the monkeys but several of them got annoyed with Little Curious Fox imitating them. Mrs. Thomas quickly put a stop to it and explained to Fox why this was wrong.
The next place they entered was the Snake compound. All of the snakes were behind glass and Fox didn't enjoy that and left quickly. They next went to the compound housing the birds and were in awe of all of the beautiful birds. This went on until they got hungry and stopped for a snack. The class was allowed to buy what they wanted and to stay together.
Fox started in that direction but heard sounds that he had never heard before and got curious and followed it to the sound. It was a Spotted Hyena and he was "laughing" and Fox watched for a moment before realizing that he had better return to his class. He turned to go back and didn't know where to go.
Fox wandered on stopping only when his curiosity said to. He saw many things and animals that were fascinating and he became curious and wanted to examine them closer. He eventually returned to the Monkey compound and waited until it was clear and then carefully climbed over the barrier and got closer. He heard commotion behind him and before he could turn he felt himself lifted and removed from the area. When he was returned to his feet he looked up into the grim face of a Zoo Ranger.
The face didn't look happy. "What were you doing?"
"I got curious about monkeys and wanted a closer look at them."
"Where are your parents?"
"I'm with a class," and with that Fox was taken to the Lost and Found department where it was announced over the loud speakers that there was a lost student at Lost and Found, and would someone please come and get him. Soon Mrs. Thomas was there to pick him up. She was not pleased to learn what he had done. It looked like she would have to inform his dad of his antics after all.
By the time they returned the class with the exception of Fox and Mrs. Thomas had gotten snacks and were enjoying them. Fox and his teacher quickly joined them. Mrs. Thomas sat with her assistants and Fox returned to his friends.
After they had rested they were up and going again. Fox once again was lagging behind and noticed a Zoo employee carrying a pail of something and got curious and decided to follow. This employee was on the way to feed the big cats. He didn't realize that he was being followed and didn't close the door leading to the back of the cages and Fox slipped in behind him. This was fascinating. Fox watched his every move so closely that he didn't move quick enough and was caught. The employee was not happy; but Fox was able to get away before he was caught.
Next he wandered to the refreshment stand and watched the man make popcorn. He wandered behind and when the attendant wasn't watching added more popcorn to the machine. He was seen but got away again. He was curious about how much popcorn the machine could pop. Soon the machine was overflowing with popcorn.
His antics were reported to the Zoo Ranger and when his description was given the ranger knew who it had to be and went looking for the schoolteacher. As soon as he reported his complaints Mrs. Thomas gave him Fox's Daddy's phone number and went to meet him leaving her class with her helpers.
Daddy was not pleased with the phone call and went immediately to the Zoo. He was meet by both the teacher and ranger. The both filled him in on Fox's antics and Daddy went off to find his son.
The Zoo staff helped him and soon they had him cornered and sent for his Daddy. Daddy came upon Little Curious Fox as he once again was following his curiosity into trouble. Daddy intercepted him and boy was Fox surprised.
Fox looked up into the mad face of his Daddy and knew he was in trouble. "My Little Curious Fox you have disobeyed not only me, but your teacher and the zoo ranger. What do you have to say about your actions?"
"Daddy, I was just curious about so much. I'm sorry," cried Fox as he saw his Daddy's hand move to his back pocket and remove the stinging paddle. "I won't do it again, please don't paddle me," Fox said as he felt the tears begin to fall.
Daddy grasp his son by the arm and pulled him toward the Zoo Ranger and asked, "Sir, is there somewhere we can go to discuss his antics. Someplace where no one will hear us?" The Zoo Ranger smiled and nodded and led the way to the most remote area in the zoo.
He stopped at a little used compound and pointed, "If you will go a little further beyond those trees you will not be heard or seen. This compound is not opened to the public yet. It will be perfect for your 'discussion' and left them there.
Daddy was still pulling his boy along until they were hidden from view and stopped. He looked at Fox and said, "Once again your curiosity has led you in to trouble. Take down your jeans and bend over my knee. He braced one leg against a tree trunk and waited for his son to obey him. Fox slowly lowered his jeans. He pleaded with his Daddy as he lowered his jeans, "Please, don't paddle me Daddy. I promise to obey you next time."
Daddy shook his head and yanked his son over to his knee and bent him over. Once he had Little Curious Fox situated he lowered his briefs and began to paddle him fast.
"Owwwww...Smack...Smack...owwww...Smack." And on it went. Fox cried out as his bottom got redder and redder. It felt like it was on fire long before his Daddy stopped. Finally Daddy stopped and pulled his son's pants up. "Fox we are going home now," and led his crying son through the park to his car. Fox now knew what it felt like to be stared at vowed never to follow his curiosity into trouble at the zoo again.
The End
There once was a little boy called Little Curious Fox and he lived with his Daddy, the man with the stinging paddle.
It was Friday morning and Little Curious Fox had something important to ask his Daddy. "Daddy? I've been invited to a sleep over at my friend Tommy Williams tonight. Can I go? Please," asked Fox. His Daddy looked at the pleading face before him and asked, "Does his parents know?" "Yes, sir. Tommy said that his parents told him he could have a friend over and he choose me," came the proud reply. "Wait and minute and let me check," and Daddy went to his personal phone book and looked up the number and called.
Soon he returned and said, "Okay, Tommy's mom said to drop you off around 5 tonight. I'll be in to help you with your overnight bag, go pick out what you want to take," Daddy said as he went to get the overnight bag for Fox. By the time he arrived Fox had toys and video games and a jeans and shirt but nothing else.
Daddy put the bag down and watched with amusement as his son packed everything on his bed and then started to zip up the bag. "Wait a minute son, aren't you forgetting a few items?" Fox looked in the bag and then shook his head, "No, I got everything."
Daddy went to his dresser drawers and pulled out some underwear, socks, t-shirt and pajamas and said, "What about these?" Fox blushed he had indeed forgotten about those. He grabbed them and repacked his bag. "One more thing son," and Daddy also pulled out a warm sweatshirt with Washington Redskin emblem on it and Fox packed that too. It was starting to get cold and Daddy wanted to be sure his son would be warm.
With the bag packed Daddy carried it near the front door to be picked up this afternoon after school. What Fox didn't know was that Daddy was going to send a clean son to his sleepover and he was planning on Fox taking a bath after school.
After Fox had had his breakfast he was taken to school where he tried his best to put his curiosity on hold and not get in any mischief. He didn't want anything to spoil his first sleepover. It was a happy Fox who waited for his Daddy to pick him up after school let out. He hadn't followed his curiosity into mischief once and had gotten an A+ on a recent test.
On the way home Fox proudly showed his A+ and talked about all that had happened in class today, "Daddy I was curious about several things today but didn't do anything about it," he ended proudly.
"That's great, son. I knew you could rein that curiosity of yours
in if you were motivated," thinking that it was the stinging paddle which
had done the motivating. In reality it was the sleepover that had done
the trick that day. He knew that if he had misbehaved his Daddy may
cancel the sleepover, and he didn't want that.
As soon as they got home Fox ran to put on the clothes he wanted to wear for the sleepover. He didn't notice his Daddy following behind him or turning into the bathroom to turn on the tap in the tub. As he was in the process of changing his Daddy struck. His Daddy appeared out of nowhere and stripped off the rest of his clothes and carried him naked to the bathroom. As soon as Fox saw the tubful of water he shrieked, "No, I don't need a bath," like most small boys it was a chore to get him bathed. His Daddy didn't even pause as he dropped him gently in the tub. The water was just right.
Assured that Fox was completely wet Daddy knelt by the tub and picking up washrag preceded to wash him from head to foot. He even washed his hair.
Fox fussed through the whole operation only quieting down when threatened with a spanking. Once his son was squeaky clean Walter left him to get out of the tub by himself. Still sputtering Fox was engulfed in a big warm towel and dried briskly by his Daddy. While he had him Daddy began to tickle him and soon had Fox back in good spirits. Once dried Walter once again carried his dried, naked child back to his room and instructed, "Now you can get dressed," and left.
By the time Fox came out it was near 5 and they left. The Williams lived in a neighborhood near Fox; it was only a couple of blocks over. The boys had been friends since entering school two years ago. They had visited with each other on many occasions but this was the first sleepover Fox had been allowed to go on and he was very excited.
Daddy walked with Fox to the front door carrying the overnight bag. When Ellen, Tommy's mom, opened the door Walter thanked her for having Fox for the night. "I'll be back for him before lunch," and turning to Fox added, "Now you be a good boy and please don't follow your curiosity into trouble here. I love you." Daddy kissed him much to Fox's embarrassment, before leaving him in the care of his friend's mom.
Tommy was on hand to show Fox where to leave his bag and then they went back down to eat supper. They were having Tommy's and Fox's favorite: hamburgers and French fries. There was even brownies and ice cream for dessert. Fox was a bit shy at first about joining in the conversation but soon had everybody laughing at his antics during the field trip at the Police Department.
You locked your class and teacher up in the cell?" Asked Steve, Tommy's older brother. "Well, Mrs. Thomas did say she wanted them all to imagine how it would feel to have the cell door closed behind them. I just thought I would help them get a true feel for it. They weren't happy about it." Fox turned to Tommy and said, "That was the day you were sick and missed it."
"Mom, can we be excused?" Asked Tommy politely. "Before you leave the table boys, your mother and I are going to be out tonight. Steve you are in charged.
We are going to a movie and a coffee afterwards, we won't be back 'til late." Mr. Williams looked at Tommy and Fox before adding, "I expect the two of you to be in bed by 10, do I make myself clear?" "Yes, sir," replied two voices. "Tommy you and Fox have plenty to keep yourselves busy, you can play your video games or play games on the computer or watch a movie. Remember I expect this hose to be in good order when we return or I know some boys who will be sporting warm bottoms soon afterwards, this means you too, Steve."
"Now you can excused," said Ellen Williams. The boys hurriedly left the table and went up to Tommy's room to see what Fox brought along for the night. Tommy ohh and wowed over all of the new video game cartridges Fox brought and didn't even tease Fox about the stuffed fox he always slept with. When Fox brought it out he wordlessly pointed to the stuffed black panther he always slept with. Fox utter a sigh of relief he was scared that Tommy would tease him about Red, his fox, but he had never slept without it and had to bring it along as well.
"What's your panther's name?" Fox asked shyly. "I call it Fred after my uncle Fred who bought him for me. What's your fox's name?" Asked Tommy.
"My dad bought him when I was little, and I just call him Red."
Soon the boys had inserted one of the cartridges and were so engrossed in the game that they didn't even hear Mr. and Mrs. Williams leave. After playing video games for about an hour Tommy asked if Fox wanted to surf the net with him? Fox agreed at once. Both boys have been taught in school about the computer and how to use it and warned about the Internet, which only whetted their desire to play. Fox's Daddy wouldn't leave him alone while he played on his Dad's, only allowing him to get on a few children's sites.
Tommy led the way to his parent's room, where the computer was located, and turned to Fox and said, "We have to use this one. Steve has one in his room but he is always on it." The pulled up chairs and before long were surfing. Fox asked, "Boy, your parents must really trust you a lot to leave you alone in here. My dad has to be in the apartment whenever I'm allowed on it. Then he pops in to check on me while I'm playing to make sure I stay only on the sites he has approved."
Tommy turned and answered, "You see this," pointing to a little symbol at the corner of the page. It looked like a guard dog. Fox looked closely seeing it at last. "Yeah." "Well that is a filter that keeps me from bringing up any unsuitable site. Here I'll show you," and typed in www.whitehouse.com and instead of the site wanted the computer took them to a site with a guard dog on it and the words "this site is forbidden for your use."
"Having that filter on is why mom and dad allows me unlimited use," then he got this cunning look on his face and clicked on the dog icon and when a box appeared asking for the password he calmly typed it in. Turning back to Fox he said, "I know turned it off," pointing again to the dog icon, "see the dog now." This time when Fox looked he could see a large X covering the dog. "What mom and Dad don't know is that I know the password for turning the filter off. Steve happened upon in early before they memorized it and passed it on. Now we can surf the whole web whenever they are out of the house."
Knowing that he could surf without adult supervision excited Fox and
he was eager to continue. He was curious about a lot of sites he
had heard about in school from friends but when he asked his Daddy about
them he was told "NO!"
Tommy retyped the address he had used as a show and tell earlier and
when it came on Fox was amazed and confused by what he saw. The only
thing that really registered was the naked ladies and men and he didn't
understand anything they were doing to each other.
"Tommy can we go somewhere else? I don't understand what they are doing." Tommy didn't understand either he just knew that his brother had visited the site many times and had been curious about it as well. The boys visited the out of bound sites and then returned to the many game sites and played a bit longer. Then they decided to look up the shopping sites for toys, it wouldn't hurt to see what was available...Christmas and birthdays were just around the corner.
Fox saw so much and wanted it all, he remarked in passing, "Too bad we can't order online for some of these? We could have them delivered and have so much fun."
Tommy looked interested as well, "Why can't we?"
Fox pointed to the credit card symbols and said, "Because it takes one of those and we don't have one. My Daddy has a Visa but he's not going to give it to me to buy these toys with."
While surfing through the sites they came upon an ad for a credit card and ever curious, Fox clicked on it. Tommy looked on as Fox began to fill the card application form out in his name. He gave them his name, address, phone number. When they asked about income Fox clicked the highest one listed. HE gave his email address of [email protected]. His dad had given him one so he could communicate with grandparents. There were other questions and Fox either gave correct information or made up information and sent it off. He turned to Tommy and said, "If they send me one I'll be back and we can order toys from it."
The boys thought a credit card took care of the bill magically and they wouldn't be liable to actually pay money for the items they requested.
The rest of the time they played games and around 9:30 they got off the computer and returned to their room and got ready for bed. At 10:00 they went downstairs for a snack, the brownies had been so good that they thought that a few more with milk would just hit the spot. With Fox there Tommy got bold and between them they made a mess. They would have cleaned it up except they heard Mr. and Mrs. Williams's drive up. The pushed everything into the garbage can and ran for bed. They were actually in bed and pretending to be asleep when the parents peaked in to check on them. They weren't discovered and eventually went to sleep.
They slept late and all too soon it was time for Daddy to pick Fox up. He made his goodbyes and they left. It wasn't until 12:30 that their mess of the night before was discovered. They were at lunch when the phone rang and Daddy went to answer. Fox was focused on the pizza he was eating and didn't realize that Daddy had returned until he cleared his throat and Little Curious Fox looked up. When he saw the stinging paddle in his Daddy's hand he knew it had to do with the snack last night.
"Fox, did you and Tommy make a mess last night when you were suppose to be in bed and asleep?" Hanging his head, Fox whispered, "Yes, Daddy. We were hungry and I was curious if there were any more brownies left. When Tommy got them out they looked so bare with out the ice cream so we helped ourselves and made a little mess. When we tried to clean it up it got larger. Then we heard Tommy's folks drive up so we pushed it all in the garbage can. I'm sorry. Please don't paddle me."
Daddy only shook his head and told Fox to come to him and when he had, he bared his bottom and pulled him over his thighs. "Fox your friend Tommy is getting a paddling, too. But you will also sit down and write a letter of apology which will be delivered this afternoon," and with that out of the way Daddy gave Fox 6 licks. Three licks to one buttock and the other three to the other buttock. He hit the sit spots on each buttock and put all six on top of each other. He had Fox sobbing before the third lick was given. Smack...Owww...Smack...Owwwww...Smack. I'm sorry Daddyyyyy! Smack...Owwww...Smack...Stopppppp...Smack...ooohhhhwwww.
Daddy then lifted his son and pulled up his underwear and pants and deposited him back in his seat. "Oooohhhhwwww," Fox cried as his sore bottom made contact with the hard chair. "You stay there," and while Fox cried his Daddy cleared the table and returned with the paper and pen. "Now write your letter. I'll be back later to check it over." He left his son crying as he wrote. He hated to treat his son like this but he needed to learn.
Fox's letter was one that was quite simple and to the point and it went something like this: Dear Mrs. Williams. I want to apologize for my actions last night. I let my curiosity led Tommy and me into the brownies and making a mess in your kitchen. I am truly sorry and it won't ever happen again. My Daddy has paddled me for making the mess and disobeying you in the first place.
Sincerely, Fox. When he handed it over to his Daddy he was told that it would do. Daddy then opened his arms and without a hesitation Fox ran into them where his Daddy cuddled him and forgave him his mischief of last night and all was forgiven. Later that day Fox and his Daddy returned to the Williams home where Fox delivered his letter of apology to Mrs. Williams.
For the next month Fox didn't live up to his nickname of Little Curious
Fox and his Daddy had decided that he had finally learned how to curb his
curiosity.
That is until the credit card came in. It came Thursday morning and
by chance Fox got to the mail first and easily hid it in his book bag.
He hurried to his room to open the letter and remove the card. He
felt that he now had the key to everything he had ever wanted but was turned
down by his Daddy. He had discarded all the information explaining
the rules and payment plans.
Now that he had the means of answering his dreams he needed a safe place to have the items sent. He thought for only a short time before coming up with an answer. He would talk Mrs. Benton, his surrogate grandmother who lived next door, into accepting his booty. He carefully hid the card and asked his Daddy if he could visit Grandma, which is what Mrs. Benton wanted to be called. His Daddy thought that would be nice and quickly gave his permission.
He explained that since Christmas was coming soon he wanted to get a head start and would like to have them delivered to her address. She then gave him permission for whatever he wanted to be stored at her place, whether they came by delivery or brought by him personally.
The next day at school Fox told Tommy that his credit card had arrived and he had a place to send the items they ordered. All they needed is the use of a computer. Tommy said, "I'll ask Mom if you can come over tomorrow afternoon to play. I've been good for a month and gotten 2 A's on tests and she's in a good mood. She's bound to say yes. I'll call you tonight." That taken care of, the boys went in and once again Fox kept his curiosity in hand and didn't cause any trouble. Mrs. Thomas was eternally grateful for the last month of Fox behaving that she was even enjoying teaching again.
When school was over Fox was waiting for his Daddy to pick him up and already making plans up what he would buy tomorrow that he almost missed his Dad's approach. He got into the car and was surprised by his Daddy's inattentiveness towards him. "Daddy, is something wrong?"
"Yes, I've got to go out-of-town for the next few days and I'm trying to decide where you can stay."
"What about my staying with the Williams?" Fox asked quietly.
His Daddy only said, "We'll see," and finally asked how school was that day. Fox gave him glowing reports on what happened today and that he didn't get in trouble once.
The phone was ringing as they were entering the apartment and Walter went to answer it. While he talked Fox went to his room to pack. He didn't think that his idea about going to the Williams went over real well with his Daddy and he thought he would be dropped off elsewhere. He was surprised when his Daddy came into he room and said, "That was Mrs. Williams and she has invited you to spend the night again and while we were talking I asked her about the rest of the weekend and she readily agreed to keep you until Monday. Now Fox you are on your best behavior. I've given both her and her husband my permission to punish you like you were theirs. One other thing, if I hear that they had to punish you, you will also be punished when I get you home. So if you decide to follow your curiosity into trouble expect a paddling or spanking from me besides what they give you."
Fox nodded only half listening, all he had in his mind was that he would soon have excess to a computer and the Internet to buy whatever he liked and pay with it with the credit card. He hurriedly got packed this time he remembered to pack underclothes as well as pajamas and sweat shirt and pants. This time Daddy had to bring the suitcase to hold everything he would need the next few days. Since he was on a timetable to get to his destination he soon had Fox ready to leave and soon he was leaving his son again with the Williams. After a quick kiss and the leaving of some money for anything he might need, he was gone.
For the next three days every time Tommy's parents were away from home Tommy and Fox were surfing the net and whenever a particular small toy or video game caught their eye they ordered it and had it sent to Grandma Benton's until Fox would be able to retrieve them and bring the ones Tommy had ordered to him at school. As much as Fox loved surfing the net he could hardly wait for his Daddy to come home so he could get the packages form Grandma Benton, and when his Daddy finally came back that is exactly what Fox did.
For the next month packages arrived at Grandma Benton's and she accepted them and awaited Fox's visits. She enjoyed his visits but was starting to wonder about the amounts of packages being shipped to her place. The explanation that Fox had given at first didn't quite ring true with the packages that seemed to be constantly coming. She had made up her mind to talk to his father about the amount of items that kept showing up. How in the world was Fox able to pay for them all? Something just didn't make sense to her.
Fox's curiosity had led him to applying for and using the credit card but neither boy had thought the whole scheme completely out. The amounts of items being sent and accepted by Grandma Benton were raising suspicions as well as the toys themselves. Both Mrs. Williams and Fox's Daddy were trying to remember where the extra toys had come from. They didn't remember buying them but they must have how else would the boys have them unless they bought them, then one day Daddy found the credit card and put 2 and 2 together.
The day before the card was discovered Fox had heard his Daddy coming and had stuck the card in a book he was reading and had forgotten about it and had left it there when he went to school the next day. Daddy had noticed the book and had picked up to put it back in his room and the card had fallen out. When he read the name on the front everything fell into place, his kid was ordering toys and other items and paying for them with this credit card, no telling how much he had spent and he began to search for a bill. Going through his desk drawers, he found it and saw that Fox had spent $500.00. He felt the anger begin to build up and he was glad that he had a few hours to cool down before he picked his son up from school.
During the time he figured out who was accepting the items and he confronted her and she was shocked to learn the truth. "I'm sorry Walter I had no idea that he had paid for those items with a credit card. I felt something was wrong and was going to come to you today about it. He had another one delivered today. Do you want it?"
Walter thanked her but said to leave it and let his son pick it up then he would confront the boy when he arrived in the house with it and paddle him but good.
Grandma Benton spoke up then, "Before you paddle him I want to punish him too. Only I'm not using a paddle and wouldn't tell him more, she said to "only trust her" and he agreed. She would follow him back to the apartment after he had picked up his package.
All went according to plan and Walter didn't let on that anything was wrong when he picked his son up from school. While waiting he figured that Tommy was in on it, seeing how much time he had spent with his friend. Once the arrived home Fox disappeared, telling his Daddy he was going to see Grandma. Daddy positioned himself so that Fox wouldn't be able to reenter the apartment without being seen by his Daddy, that was he would be caught red handed, and that is what happened.
Fox eased open the door and not seeing his Daddy came in carrying the larger package. When his Daddy spoke Fox nearly dropped the package. He turned and said, "Daddy you scared me." "Fox what's in the package?"
Fox thinking fast said, "It's something Grandma gave me," and attempted to get to his room. Walter looked past Fox and asked, "Grandma, did you give him that package?" Fox did a double take, when had she arrived? Grandma shook her head sadly and said, "NO."
"Fox Skinner, I want the truth. You are in enough trouble as it is. You have lied, stolen..." I didn't steal anything," Fox shouted angrily. Walter responded, "Fox, how are you going to pay for these items?"
"They are paid for, I used my credit card," Fox answered smugly.
"Fox that piece of plastic is worthless if you have no funds to back it up and no intention of paying the bill and that is stealing. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Fox finally confessed and told how he had followed his curiosity into figuring out how to acquire one and then used it to buy whatever caught his eye. He told about ordering the items off the Internet and confessed that it was off the Internet where he had applied for the credit card to begin with. He left out the part about Tommy having the password for turning on/off the family filter. He continued to say how he lied to Grandma about accepting the items and then when he would visit each day he would pick the items up, if she had any and then sneak them back into his room... His Daddy interrupted here with the statement, "and you would pass some on to Tommy." The expression on Fox's face told him that he had hit it on the nail.
"Fox between you and Tommy $500.00 was spent. I want you to gather up the items you ordered that you have here and bring them in to me...NOW!" Fox jumped at the tone of voice his Daddy just used and ran to obey. While he was occupied Walter went to call the Williams and tell them a story. After talking it over with Mr. Williams the fathers decided to confiscate all the toys and video games the boys had bought and would donate them to a children's home. They would half the price, each paying $250.00. The boys would be donating half of their allowance until the $250.00 was paid for, and of course the boys would be paddled severely.
When Walter had returned, all of the items Fox had bought were stacked up on the sofa. Walter called Fox to him and told him what he and Mr. Williams had decided to do. When heard that he was losing his toys and would be paddled Fox began to cry, "There are mine. I paid for them, you can't take them away."
This angered his Daddy and he pulled his stinging paddle from his back pocket. "Fox before I acquaint your bottom with my paddle your Grandma has something for you." Fox turned his tearful face towards Grandma and was shocked to see a spoonful of some smelly liquid at his mouth. His Daddy made him open his mouth while Grandma emptied the spoon in it. It tasted awful much worse than the smell and Fox tried to spit it out. His Daddy made him swallow, "What was that?" Sputtered Fox. "That my boy was a spoonful of cod-liver oil and you will be getting a spoonful everyday after school for the next month. It is my punishment for you for lying to me about the toys," explained Grandma. Fox shook his head, "NO', it taste awful. "Don't worry Grandma; I will personally deliver him to you. He will swallow whatever you give him or suffer another paddling on the spot. Now if you will excuse us, Fox has an appointment with my stinging paddle."
Walter pulled his struggling son to him as Grandma left them. Soon he had Fox bottomless and over his thighs. "Fox once again you have allowed your curiosity to lead you into trouble," and began to paddle his son hard. Fox began to scream and sob from the beginning...Smack...Smack...Smack. "Ooohhhhwwwww," screamed Fox as the licks continue to rain down on his bottom and the back of his thighs. Walter was leaving no place unmarked taking real care of the sit spot on each buttock. He was using the time-honored method of visiting each spot with three licks, one on top of each other, before moving on. By the time he was finished Little Curious Fox had one very, very red tail and surfing had to be done standing up.
The End.
There was once a little boy called Little Curious Fox and he lived with his Daddy, the man with the stinging paddle.
It was October in Washington and it was a cold and wet day. He was told by his Daddy to stay in or he might get sick. Little Curious Fox was bored and he wanted to go to the park and play. He pleaded with his Daddy about being allowed out until Daddy could take no more.
"Fox it is cold and wet. You are not going out. Do you want to get sick?" Fox shook his head and Daddy resumed, "Well if you go out now you will get sick. Playing on such a cold and wet day will probably bring on sickness. Now if you ask me again I will warm your bottom with my stinging paddle."
Little Curious Fox pouted but returned to his room. He was curious now...would playing outside lead him in getting sick? He had to find out but if he asked his Daddy again he would be paddled by that terrible stinging paddle.
"Daddy," Fox called, "can I play on the Internet?"
"Why?"
"I want to play a game. Pleaseeeee."
His Daddy thought for a moment and then said, "No, I don't think so. Don't you remember; the Internet is off limits to you for a while? Go read a book or play one of your video games."
"No, I'm bored. I want to go outside!" The last part came out in a shout. That got his Daddy's attention right away he came out and he was carrying his stinging paddle.
"I don't like your tone of voice, young man," and before Fox could move he found his bottom bared and being paddled with the stinging paddle. He howled as his bottom heated it up. "I'm sorry Daddy. Please stop, please. Ooohhhwwww," sobbed Fox. After delivering the last lick Fox was sent to his room.
About an hour later a subdued and cunning Fox came out once a gain. He went to his Daddy and cried, "I'm sorry Daddy." His Daddy gathered his son in his arms and gave him a forgiving hug. When he set his son back down he said, "Your slate is wiped clean. Now please don't make me punish you again."
Fox had time to think on how he could get out of the apartment while he was in his room and had come up with a plan. "Daddy, can I go and visit Grandma?" Fox said it with as much sincerity as he could manage and his Daddy believed him and granted his permission saying, "That will work out just fine Fox. I have to go to the office for a while. I'll feel a lot better knowing you were in your Grandma's hands. Let me call and see if that is all right with her." He was only gone for a moment before returning with a smile on his face. "She says to tell you that she has chocolate cake and milk waiting for you."
"O boy," cried Fox as he rushed next door. Before leaving the apartment he made sure that he had his key with him. He was planning on returning soon afterwards to get his coat and go to the park and play. He was going to show his Daddy that playing in the cold and wet wouldn't get him sick.
Fox was knocking at the front door as his Daddy was leaving the apartment. "Fox I told Grandma that you were on your best behavior but if you caused her any trouble she could take care of it. But remember if she punishes you I will too."
As usual Fox was only half listening, his mind was on the chocolate cake Grandma had waiting. Soon he was happily digging right in. Even the glass of milk tasted good with chocolate cake. When he had eaten his fill he thanked Grandma and went out to visit with her in the living room. He knew from past experiences that Grandma took an afternoon nap in front of the TV, so all he did was to wait until she drifted off to leave. He carefully left a note. "Grandma, You were sleeping so soundly and I didn't want to wake you. My Daddy came and got me. He didn't stay as long as he thought at first. We are going out and won't be back until tonight. Thanks for having me, the cake was delicious, Love Fox."
Fox carefully left Grandma's apartment and he went next door and got his heavy coat on with his boots and left the apartment building. There was only a light drizzle falling as he walked over to the park. He found several kids playing and soon found himself in their midst. An impromptu football game started up and Fox was picked to play on the side without coats, so he took his off. As he got warmer he also took off the heavy sweatshirt. Soon the drizzle turned into a light rain and then a heavier downpour started. The game was called for rain and everyone took shelter. Fox struggled back into his coat. He was still too hot to put on his sweatshirt. As soon as the rain stopped Fox went home. His Daddy still hadn't returned so he took off his coat and dried off before replacing his damp sweatshirt and returning to Grandma's.
As he entered he noticed that she was still sleeping so he confiscated the note and waited for his Daddy to return. While waiting he began to get cold. He lay down of the sofa and pulled up the light blanket Grandma kept there.
By the time Grandma woke Fox was feeling awful. In fact it was Fox's moaning that woke her. When she looked towards the noise she discovered Fox on the sofa and he seemed to be covered up. She got up to investigate and found him shivering, with his teeth chattering. She felt his forehead with the palm of her hand and felt heat. She pulled down the blanket and pulled off the sweatshirt. It felt damp as she pulled it over his head. She felt his body and found it hot. She knew she had a very sick little boy on her hands and hurriedly called his Daddy.
Walter answered the phone at the first ring. "Hello?" As soon as he hard the words, "Fox is sick. He's burning up." He was up and moving. It only took him 20 minutes to get home. He was at her door soon afterwards. "Where is he and what happened," were the first words out of his mouth and Grandma opened the door.
Grandma led the way to the spare bedroom where she had taken the boy. She had stripped him of his clothes and was busy wiping his body with a cool cloth in an attempt to lower the temperature. Daddy sat by his bed and kissed him gently upon his cheek. He was burning up still. Fox opened his eyes to see his Daddy. "Daddy, he sobbed, "I don't feel good." His Daddy gathered him into his arms and asked Grandma, "What's his temperature?"
"I don't quite know. I felt his forehead to see if he had fever and he was burning up. Let me find my thermometer and we will check." Soon she returned with a rectal thermometer in her hand along with a jar of vaceline. She carefully coated the end with the vaceline and said, "Turn him on his side," which Walter did but not before Fox saw what she had in her hand. "Noooooo. That's for babies," and struggled to get away. Grandma carefully and gently inserted it in his rectum and Fox began to cry. Grandma kept there the required time and after 2 minutes it was removed and Fox was gently laid back down. He was asleep; he had cried himself to sleep.
Grandma looked at the thermometer and read his temperature. "He's got a temperature of 103, we need to get him to a doctor." Walter wrapped him in a blanket and with Grandma in tow went to his car and drove to the nearest hospital. She held him while his Daddy drove and then relinquish her hold when they got there. Walter picked up his precious burden and rushed into the ER shouting for a doctor.
Soon Fox was being examined and medicine was injected. The doctor returned to his Daddy to explain. "It would seem that you little boy has a cold. Has he been outside recently? This is a cold and wet day today and it he was out in it he could have gotten a chill."
Grandma remembered the damp sweatshirt and said, "I removed a damp sweatshirt from him when I noticed he was shivering. You don't think he went out this afternoon while I was napping, do you?"
Walter admitted, "He wanted to go out and play this afternoon, but I told him no that the weather was to cold and wet for him to play." He turned to the doctor and said, "I don't know for sure but I bet he did. He did it without permission. Will he be all right, doctor?"
"Yes, as soon as we got the medicine in him, his fever began to dissipate. Give it another hour and it will be gone completely. I'll give you some medicine to give him once every 6 hours, and it will knock this cold right out of him. He should be back to normal in the next two days."
Walter said, "I assure you he will take every drop. Can we be with him?"
The Doctor gave his permission and they were usher into the room Fox was placed in. He was fussing about the gown he was put in, and Walter knew he was going to recover. "Fox you scared me today, but with rest and you taking your medicine you will recover. You have to stay her a little while longer and then I will be taking you home," and Walter gathered him in his arms for a hug. Afterwards leaving Fox with Grandma, Walter went to pay the bill.
Later that night Fox was found in bed and taking his medicine for the first time. "Open wide, my little Fox and you soon will be well." Fox did as instructed and his Daddy emptied the spoonful in his mouth. It tasted like cherry and Fox swallowed it at once.
For the next two days Fox followed the Doctor's instructions to the letter and soon he was well. Walter waited until he knew Fox to be well before addressing the reason of his sickness. He visited Fox while he was still in bed and in his pajamas. "Fox, I want to tell you a little story about a small boy who disobeyed his father." Fox turned pale and said, "He lived happily ever after?"
Walter reached for Fox as he sat down and pulled him easily over his lap and lowered his pajama pants and said, "His Daddy happily warmed his bottom to a nice cheery red...Smack...Smack...Smack." "Owwwwwwwww, Daddy...it hurtsssss."
