‘Mandie!’ Vikki screamed. They ran through the crowds and flung their arms around each other.
‘Everyone’s looking at us, we’re not weird are we?’
‘ Hahaha, no, well you’re not anyway! And we are hugging and screaming in the middle of the street.’
Amanda shuffled uncomfortably, she didn’t know Mandie.
‘Oh, yeah, intro’s, Mandie meet…well Mandy, its better to call her manda or mands, everyone else does, I just have to be awkward and call her Mandy.’
‘Hi,’ Amanda said quietly.
‘Hi, listen you know how youse were gonna stay with us? Well, there’s been a slight hitch, Danny’s gone and invited his mates to stay over too, so, they’re gonna be kipping on the couch, you don’t mind sharing do you?’
‘ Course not! Do you manda? Coz we can always book into a hotel.’
‘Erm, no, that’s fine.’ Amanda mumbled.
‘Let’s go then, Danny’s mates…they’re not disgusting are they? Cause if they fart ONCE in front of me……….’
‘ Vikki, I’ve never met them, and if they do fart I will personally stick an air freshener up them!’ Mandie joked.
All three piled into a taxi, and headed for Danny and Mandie’s house in Wicklow, three whole months in Ireland, together, it was gonna be brill.
‘STOP!!!!!!!!! Where’s Laura?’ Vikki panicked.
‘Christ! I left her in that café to find you!’
‘Not again! She’s ALWAYS disappearing!’
All three jumped out of the taxi and ran through the centre of Dublin. They found Laura still sat in her seat, looking worried, all those times of getting lost gave her the sense to stay where she was. Vikki leapt on her nearly in tears, Amanda felt guilty and Mandie fell into a chair, VERY relieved.
