Prince William is the least popular choice of flatmate for people aged 18-30 because they would dread family visits.
One in five people questioned also said they would not be able to handle the lack of privacy and the screaming women he would attract.
Jamie Oliver is the preferred choice of flatmate for women while men said they'd love to live under the same roof as Davina McCall.
Some 23% of women said Oliver was their ideal flatmate because of his cooking skills and cheeky charm while Robbie Williams was a close second for his physique and sense of humor.
Only 12% of men said they could share with Oliver while eight per cent said he'd be a nightmare because he's "irritating".
The favored flatmate for men are television presenters McCall and Cat Deely with Tasmin Outwaithe (Eastenders' Melanie) and Kathy Burke, third and fourth on their list of preferences.
Chris Evans was another unpopular choice of flatmate because people said he's too "hyperactive", while Prime Minister Tony Blair was branded as "smarmy".
Posh Spice was also unpopular because people said she'd have "too many clothes to store". A total of 72% of people said they had a falling out with a flatmate and 41% claimed to have used violence to settle an argument.
The most popular reasons for the "bust-ups" were the washing up, excess noise when coming home drunk and leaving the living room in a mess.
The survey was commissioned by Wilton Royal Carpets.
