Aina Sakhalin
Aina, beautiful and strong, is a proud member of the Sakhalin family, one of the most important families in the Zeon Empire. She has known warfare her whole life, and does not question Zeon's struggle with the Federation. However, her significant encounter with Shiro begins to change her mind. Aina falls for the 08th MS commander after he forgets about their political differences, showing her great compassion when he helps save them both from a suffocating death in space. Although Aina lowers her guard to reveal her gentle side to Shiro, she is nonetheless a tough woman and a callous soldier. Ginias Sakalin is her older brother. Aina helps him by test piloting the mobile suits he creates.
