This Month's Question was:
What is the first thing you do every spring?

As soon as its spring, I clean out the WHOLE house, I get rid of the old, and perk the place up with new! The dark, fall colors come down, and light pastels go up! I always find myself lurking around the garden centers at all stores, and before you know it I'm planting everything from Mum flowers and lilies to tomatoes and okra! Spring is a vibrant, and beautiful season...and its also my favorite. I also stock up on summer clothes at this time!

The first thing we do is go to the zoo. Then I clean the back porch and think of the things I want to plant outside.

	I love to PLANT. As soon as I know the last frost has passed, I like to dig in the dirt. I prefer bedding plants...instant gratification, you know. And I don't have very good luck with seeds. This year I hope to have some florals, definitely an herb garden for healing, cooking, and use in soapmaking. I want to plant a few veggies, as well, but the question is WHERE? The front bed I want to keep for flowers and some of the prettier herbs. I will do the rest in containers on the upper patio (more like a door leading out onto the roof of the kitchen addition...but it'll work for keeping containers safe from the kids). The veggies I was thinking about planting in a corner of the backyard that is fenced in...but that's also where the kids play. And of course I like to get the kids outside at every opportunity, and dig out those warm-weather clothes. - Kat My favorite thing to do when I know it's spring? Walk outside in my bare feet and feel the rubbery new grass, breath in the fresh air and touch all the new growth on the plants. If it is warm enough, I sit on the front porch with a candle, incense, and a little wine. It's my quite time, which is rare with 5 kids. -Corrina-Willows of Avalon Well I must say i start this before the snow has even melted off the ground. I start my indoor garden and start to plan out what i am going to do out doors that year. Of course there is the spring cleaning and hanging flowers all over the house :-). This year should be most fun because I am planing an out door breakfast nook that will have faeries and flowers all around us. I am looking forward to morning coffee this year. -nashirafae My thing I like to do when spring rolls around is go out into my flower garden and start cleaing it up and plan on what kind of flowers I need to buy. And see if I can mabe make a bed larger and put in new borders. And see what flowers I have peeking up through the ground. -Diane Our favorite thing to do in the spring is go for a walk. We went the day after Spring Equinox this year to a beautiful park by a lake. We skipped stones, touched the cold water in the springs, and came home with rosy red cheeks, and tons of energy. -Beckatha
