Diane's Toad in the Hole
TOAD IN THE HOLE You will need: 1 slice bread 1 tbsp butter 1 egg Utensils: cookie cutter or glass measuring spoons nonstick frying pan with lid saucer spatula Put it togeather: 1. Cut out the center of the bread with a cookie cutter 2. melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat until it bubbles. Turn heat to low. 3. place the bread in the frying pan. When bottom is lightly browned, turn the bread over. 4. break an egg into a saucer. Tip the egg carefully into the hole in the center of the bread. 5. cover and cook slowly until egg is firm and bread has browned. (check by lifting the corner of the bread with a spatula.) What to do with hole?? Brown it and give your toad a hat.
Stacie's Country Brunch Skillet
6 bacon strips 6cups frozen cubed hash brown potatoes 3/4 cup chopped green bell pepper 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 6 eggs 1/2 cup shredded cheese In a large skillet over med heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove and crumble and set aside. Drain, reserving 2 Tbs drippings. Add potatoes, green pepper, onion, salt and pepper to drippings; cook and stir for 2 min. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are browned and tender, about 15 min. Make six wells in the potato mixture; break one egg into each well. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 min or until eggs are completely set. Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Yield:6 servings
Colleen's Hash Brown Casseroll
1 26-oz bag frozen country style hash browns 2 cups shredded Colby cheese 1/4 cup minced onion 1 cup milk 1/2 cup beef stock or canned beef broth 2 Tbsp butter, melted Dash garlic powder 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp ground black pepper Preheat oven to 425 degrees F Combine the frozen hash browns, cheese and onion in a large bowl. Combine the milk, beef stock, half the butter, the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in another bowl. Mix until well blended, then pour over the hash brown mixture and mix well. Heat the remaning butter in a large ovenproof skillet over high heat. When the skillet is hot, spoon in the hash brown mixture. Cook the hash browns, stirring occasionally, until hot and all of the cheese has melted (about 7 minutes) Put the skillet into the oven and bake 45 to 60 minutes or until the surface of the hash browns is dark brown.
Julie's Carmel Rolls
Carmel Rolls 1 Cup brown sugar 2 Tablespoons milk 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 Cup butter or margarine 2 frozen bread loaves 1 large box vanilla pudding (not instant) Grease 9x13 cake pan. Partially thaw bread and cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks. Place 1 loaf of chunks in pan. Melt 1/2 cup butter. Mix w/sugar, milk and dry pudding mix. Pour over and between dough. Cut second loaf the same. Place in empty spaces. Let rise till reaches top of pan. Bake 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool 5 minutes then invert pan on serving platter. Delicious!
Ann's Raspberry Hotcakes
Raspberry Hotcakes Ingredients 1 cup(s) all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp table salt 1 large egg yolk(s) 1 tsp lemon peel, finely grated (zested) 1 cup(s) buttermilk 2 large egg white(s) 3/4 cup(s) raspberries 1 serving(s) cooking spray, or enough to coat skillet 1 cup(s) fat-free vanilla yogurt 1/4 cup(s) reduced-sugar raspberry jam Instructions Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In separate bowl, whisk together egg yolk, zest and buttermilk. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Stir buttermilk mixture into flour mixture; fold in egg whites and raspberries. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and warm over medium heat. For each pancake, ladle 3 tablespoons batter onto hot skillet. Cook until the bottom is set and golden brown, about 2 minutes; flip and cook until firm, about 2 to 3 minutes more. Serve immediately, with yogurt and raspberry preserves as toppings. Yields three 3-inch pancakes, 1/4 cup of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of jam per serving.
Denice's Egg Casseroll
1 small package of pork sausage 1 bl of baccon 1/2 loaf of bread 2 cups of cheese dozen eggs (May not use them all) Cook the saugase and baccon, then in a 9x13 pan layer the ingredience, except the eggs. Beat about 8-10 eggs in a bowl and pour over top the layers. Leave it set for at least an hour or over night. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour. Check after 30 minutes as ovens my vary.
