Christmas Reindeer
Contributed by Tom Ellery

Trace around your toddlers hand on brown construction
paper and cut out the
print. Place on a piece of blue construction paper folded
into a card.
Turn it upside down so the fingers point to the bottom of the
card. The hand
is a reindeer - the fingers are the legs, the thumb a head.
Cut out little
antlers, eyes, red nose and black hoofs and let your toddler
gluestick them
on!

THE STORY OF THE YULE SPIDER

According to legend, a poor woman had no decorations for her tree.  A spider
who had hidden in her tree to escape the dust mop watched as the woman
prepared for the holiday.  As the spider crawled about the tree that night
she left a trail of dusty web.  But when the woman woke the next morning,
she found that the dusty web had turned to shimmering silver.  (THis is also
where the idea for tinsial and garland came from)
