It took awhile to realize
Everyman University students were in shock on Thursday when the ragged corpse of Richard Morehouse was found lying face-down in the intersection of 4th Street and Carrion Drive, right off the EMU campus.
"Frankly, I'm not surprised," said EMU Reading professor Richard Cavazos.  Cavazos reacted with indifference upon further questioning.
Others were shocked as well.
"Who?" said EMU student Wes Jones, a vocation major, "I didn't even know we had a team."
The disciplinarian head coach of EMU football, Morehouse led the Everyman University Carrion gridiron to 2 wins and 31 total points his three season tenure with EMU.  Morehouse seemed to emphasize self-motivated training, as players often held practice without Morehouse even being present.  When present, Morehouse was often described by his players as a "raging alcoholic," a "bigot," and "ineffective."
EMU President Dave Phillips commented on the loss of the head coach earlier today.
"The man was a drunken, racist pig," Phillips said matter-of-factly.  He added, "He won't be missed."
Richard Morehouse (above) counts down the seconds to one of his couple wins at EMU.  Morehouse was 53.
