Meet Our Head Coach, Mr. Dennis Jenkins Wilcox
"As Head Coach of Handball at EMU I expect two things out of my team:  Tenacity, and Tenacity.  Let me tell you, Coach Wilcox has been around the block a few times, and he's learned along the way that life ain't fair and the only thing that will save you from failure is real hard work.  To play handball at EMU is to play every match as if the consequence of defeat is the eternal loss of your personal dignity.  Mainly, when you show up for practice in the mornings, I want you, as a member of our team, to look me in my eyes and see that I mean business.  Try it out right now.  See that?"
Meet a former EMU Handball Team-Captain, Handball Legend, Joe 'Wildcat' Satriani
"My time at EMU?  Well, it wasn't the technique or strategy that I learned which later set me apart from my competition, but rather the virtues of determination and raw grit.  When I entered EMU I was just some punk kid from Electra.  By the time I was drafted into the big leagues I could really walk with my chest out and feel proud of myself, you know?  Gosh, those days were really somethin'.  When you're the Handball Team-Captain things really fall into place for you, you know what I'm talking about?  I couldn't go anywhere without being recognized and patted on the back.  'Go get'em Wildcat', people would say to me.  And I did.  Do you even know how I earned that nickname? You wouldn't believe me if I told you.  It has nothing to do with handball, I got it in the seventh grade."
