Can you blame me for keeping it a secret? You know what I'm talking about - these weird powers. You've seen them with your own two eyes. Haven't you?
My point is, the only thing I ever did was watch
Smallville and wear Superman shirts. I thought it'd be so cool to wear stuff like that...but act like one? Going around saving people? Nuh-uh, not my thing. I'll dial 911 but don't expect me to resuscitate you.
So maybe it started with that: being a person standing on the sidelines. Way in back, straining to see. An observer. After all, Peter Parker was a brainy dork. Did fate choose me in that way?
I was normal enough as I could be. And then came the accident. All I was doing was sitting on a fence outside some barren farmland, to think. I was having a depressing day, made worse by the clouds hanging over my head. If I was thinking properly I should have known that the forecast had predicted an odd storm today. An indoors-day for everyone.
The rain started, and no one was anywhere to be seen. Only me. A few sprinkles hit my nose with the oddest sensation. Like, a sting. No, I wasn't hit by lightning that day. Instead I was drenched with this...rain...which, instead of drying off of me penetrated my clothes and sunk into my very skin.
I awoke with what felt like a hangover, but whatever-it-was made me unusually super-charged with energy. I ran a mile and felt like I should have ran more. I had done it - been drenched by electric rain.
  So now I'm strong. Correction,
stronger. I could beat up the seniors if I wanted to. So here I am, Delia - even though I should stop revealing my name if I will become a life saver - the superheroine...or just one big superaccident.
