| Once upon a time there lived a young princess named Aurora who had been cursed with pricking her finger on a spindle and falling into an enchanted sleep. The spinning wheels were burned; the princess was hidden in a woodcutter's cottage with her three fairy godmothers under the name of Briar Rose. She could converse with animals and her beautiful voice attracted the attentions of Prince Philip, whom she was destined to be married to since her birth. When she was taken back to the castle in order to reclaim her title, what should she find but a spinning wheel waiting for her? She pricked her finger and fell into an enchanted sleep, and was placed high up in a tower. Prince Philip, hearing that Briar Rose was actually Princess Aurora, braved thorn hedges and the evil dragon - Malificent, of course - to rescue her and bestow upon her true love's kiss. And with that, they lived happily ever after somewhere in our enchanted world. |
