About Everlasting Journey

Main Screen for Everlasting Journey (At Night)

Everlasting Journey is a gigantic multi-player roleplaying game being developed in Java to run on many times of operating systems and hardware. It was originally designed on paper for a real RPG because I felt all other roleplaying systems were not complicated or realistic enough.

Everlasting Journey uses, at minimum, the Java Runtime version 1.2.2 for the client and server. The higher the version of the Runtime, the better performance the game will have. It is good to note that it will run on 1.2.2 though.

RMI is used for communication between the server and the client machines. The number of players is only limited by the horsepower of the server. The more memory and powerful the CPU, the larger the number of players can be.

The game uses 32-bit color graphics (not the usual 16-bit graphics that most client/server games use) for unlimited colors. It can run as low as 8-bit graphics on older machines, but obviously the graphics won't look that great.
