| Strange sounds, apparitions and screams have been seen and heard from the small chapel at the back of St Everelders church. The chapel has been disused for many years and is now a ruin. It is thought that there was once a monastery near by. The sounds are thought to be the monks trying to keep people away from the wood . |

| There was once a man who was walking through the wood near the chapel when he got his hankycheif out he realised it was covered in blood , the blood spelt out the word die .He left the wood ,as soon as he did the blood diserpeared. |
