If you ever heard the word, "Everlasting" that is how I would describe Becky. All the times I shared with her, mostly after we graduated from High School, have held special, fond and "Everlasting" memories. We laughed alot, cried together, shared our deepest aspirations of our future lives, but most of all a deep bonding of knowing that we would always be friends. Becky has now since left this world, leaving her imprints on many lives and I am almost certain she is still as adventurous as when she walked among us. I admired her boldness, her lack of fear, always self-confident, and the courage she could raise from within herself. She was a woman of her own time, but farther ahead than we encountered. Becky was a mover and a shaker. She could stir your imagination, make you understand what she envisioned. She had many roadblocks in her existence, but she knew how to overcome the obstacles of life. "She was not a burden to life, but lifted life's burdens." * * * When I reminisce in my mind of everything I remember about Becky, it still amazes me how she could look at the hindrances that would keep me down, and she would leap over them and still be the stronger one, self assured and more courageous, while continuing down her pathway to the destinations she endevoured towards. I know the greatest joy in her life was having her beautiful daughter and family. She loved her work with Washington State Health and Human Services. She worked there for many years. She was at work a few weeks before her passing. Totally dedicated to what she loved and believed. * * * Many years had passed since I had seen Becky. We would correspond through a family member of mine and kept abreast of each others lives. Now when I fondly sit and remember my friend, I am daunted by a separation of the years where time took us down different trails and avenues, which are now supported by the 'road of memories' that held us together as friends. How I wish I could turn back the hands of time. To see her smiling face, the sparkle in her eyes and hear her vibrant, hearty laughter. May it be a lesson well learned for myself and hopefully others. The years will slip past us and yet we still need to hold onto the anchor that brought our lives together. Thank You Becky, for all the fun and wonderful times, the inspirational and enlightened years of your friendship. You helped me spread my wings and I grew. You saw the worth of life and experienced it to the fullest. I know that you touched many, with your exuberance and adventurous love of living. We will always cherish every precious memory of you.
