Sadly, for one reason or another (some due to Hurricane Andrew) almost all of them are gone, but we were very fortunate to have them as our breakfast, lunch (or even dinner) destination when they were around!
Definitely, some were fancier than others, with some being the essence of the small-town diner along the side of the road, or some (like Brickell Emporium), who served champagne to their Sunday morning guests, but all were close to our hearts, not only because they served good food, but because they were often the focal point of the club's social activities.
Who can forget Bart saying as a joke to the last club member to arrive, "You're too late - we already ate!", or Byron's "I can smell those bacon and eggs already!" when we were within 2 miles of the restaurant!
