And most coverage on the news at ten
I can see it in some people�s eyes
Hear it in their conversation
I image the stock market stinks of it
It�s universal and needs no translation
Me, I�ve suffered this one seventh of sin
I�ve been the victim and vampire in my time
Na�ve, gullible and ripped off one day
The next, coveted what was not mine
Well I�m not planning on throwing stones
In this glass house of Everglade
I�m well aware and can peacefully sleep
In the greedy bed I�ve made
Because today I�m of the opinion
That greed has one main side effect
It causes numbness instantaneously
As the feelings of others, you neglect
You see they�re not really important
In your master plan of greed
You can freely walk pass the helpless
In pursuit of what you think you need
But I�m older and hopefully wiser now
No longer nailed to that crucifix
I�m trying to be free of one seventh of sin
Just give me some time on the other six!
