The Entrance
Welcome to Dragon Castle! My name is Lady Evenstar, and I'm more or less in charge here. I hope you enjoy your stay. If there is anything I can do to improve your visit, please don't hesitate to ask.
Here are some things you should know before you explore the castle:
 � This site is rated PG-13. It's geared toward adults, and I don't recommend it for anyone under the age of 12. Before you get too excited, that doesn't mean that the site has lots of sex, violence, nudity and dirty language--it's just the product of someone with a warped mind and a dark sense of humor, and I don't think it's something that anyone under 12 would enjoy. If you're under 12 and you think that you're sufficiently twisted to appreciate this site, then, by all means, go ahead.
� In case you haven't already noticed, this site is pretty reading-intensive. There aren't many illustrations, since I'm a lousy artist, so you'll need lots of imagination to really enjoy yourself. (If you'd like to apply for the job of official Dragon Castle artist, please e-mail me.)
�This is a choose-your-own-adventure site. It's not quite an online novel and it's not quite an RPG, but it has elements of both. Each time you enter a room of the castle, you are given a story line and a list of choices you can make. Each choice has consequences--some good, some bad. Don't spend too much time worrying about making the "wrong" decision, since there really is no such thing. Sometimes you end up in the same place no matter what choice you make, and sometimes a decision that seems good at first can land you in a bad situation, or vice versa. (I told you this site was twisted, remember?) It is possible for your character to "die" or to get hurt or lost while exploring the castle, but it's always easy to start over.
� Here are some buttons that will help you along the way:
 � If you're not happy with the choice you just made (for example, if you die), click this button to go back to the previous page.
 � If you're not comfortable with the choose-your-own-adventure format and would like a guided tour, click this button to be directed to the next page in the tour. You are guaranteed not to die if you use this button, but I don't recommend it, since it's not as much fun as making your own decisions. There are also a few rooms in the castle that can only be reached by clicking on a choice that isn't included in the tour, so if you let this button make all your decisions for you, you'll never know what you could be missing...
 � Click this button to go back to the beginning of the tour and start over.
 � Click on the dragon's head to leave the castle and go to the Dragondex (a listing of all the pages currently up on the site).
� SPECIAL NOTE TO TRAVELERS: Please don't steal my art. I got most of it from other people, so it's not really mine to give away. If you see something on one of my pages that you just can't live without, go to the Links section of the Dragondex and find out where to get one for yourself!
I hope this answers any questions you may have. Now, it's time for you to be on your way. You have a long road ahead of you, but with luck, we'll meet again at the end of your travels!
