Chocobo Breeding

Chocobo breeding is the only way of getting some of the best materia in the game, including Knights of the Round. and it gives you access to every spot on the map. There are 10 kinds of chocobos that I know of. There are 2 different quality chocobos per area. There are 8 greens that I know of, and I didn't bother counting the nuts. The best are Carob and Zeio. Carob nuts are stolen from and dropped by the Brachioladus by Bone Village. Zeio nuts are stolen from an ddropped by the Goblins on Goblin Island(North of the Chocobo Ranch).

1.Not recomended- By the chocobo ranch

2.Average- Junon Area

3.Mmmmm not bad- (South)Wutai

4.Good- Gold Saucer Area

5.Great- Mideel Island

6.Wonderful (rare)- North Continent

7.Blue- Mate 2 4's or 5's with a carob nut

8.Green- Same as 7

9.Black- Mate a 7 and an 8 with a any nut

10.Gold- Mate a 9 and a 6 with a zeio nut

7=Quadra Magic 8=Mimic 9=HP/MP Switch 10=Knights of the Round

The last two greens can only be bought from the Chocobo Sage.
