Weapons and other Boss fights

In this section, I will give you my tips on how to win some of the more difficult boss fights in Final Fantasy 7. If you're trying to find a strategy on a certain battle that I don't have posted, email me and I'll send you my answer and probably put it up here.

[Diamond Weapon]-[Ultimate Weapon]-[ Emerald Weapon]-[Ruby Weapon]

[The Turks]-[ Jenova]-[Bizzaro Sephiroth]-[Safer Sephiroth]

Diamond Weapon

10,000 HP 0 MP
35,000 EXP 3,500 AP

Diamond weapon gives you your first taste of what it's like to fight one of these gigantic monsters. He's probably the easiest one you'll face. Now then, down to business. He has good defense, but a weak offense. The only time physical attacks and such work is when he opens up his chest. This also means that he's charging up for a big and powerful attack. So until he opens it, use magic. You can steal a Rising Sun from him. It's a Double Materia Raising weapon of Yuffie's that you can only get from him.

Ultimate Weapon

100,000 HP 400 MP
35,000 EXP 3,500 AP

Next is Ultimate Weapon. He usually takes four or five fights to kill. But if you have Knights of the Round or Omnislash, you can do it all in one. All that you really need to do is equip your best stuff, and have enough HP and MP Up's. After alot of damage is done(which, by the way, does not reset after each fight), he'll fly off to Cosmo Canyon for the last fight. After he'll blow up and make a path for you to reach the Ancient Forest. He'll give you the Ultimate Weapon. If you should kill him anywhere other than near Cosmo Canyon, a path to the Ancient forest will not open up and you'll need a mountain, black, or a golden chocobo.

Emerald Weapon

1,000,000 HP 100 MP
50,000 EXP 50,000 AP

Emerald Weapon is the big-ass monster floating around underwater. You can fight him by running into him with your submarine. There's a certain combo that can make this battle alot easier. The best you can do is Knights of the Round at level four or higher, at least one Mimic materia (three, at best), and W- Summon. Give KotR and W-Summon to one person, and mimic to another. Just skip the ones without KotR or Mimic and just mimic it until he dies. If you have W-Item, you can do the trick for 99 Megalixers and heal up at will. Also, cast Big Guard at the start. These last two parts help out alot. After, go to Kalm and give the Earth Harp to the man in the right house and he'll give you a set of master materia (excellent).

Of course you don't need all that high power stuff that you get when you have those wierd chocobos. You CAN beat him without Knights of the Round, Mime, and Quadra Magic. Your levels have to be in the nineties, everyone's, and you'll need to have Phoenix, and Final Attack very high on levels. If you don't have the W-Item materia, get it at Bone Village. Bahamut ZERO is there too, if you don't have it already that is. I found out that Bolt 3 is VERY good in this battle. You might want to slap on either an HP or MP absorb. Your people should have their level 4 limit breaks. You should also have at least one Master Magic Materia.

I used morph as the final blow with Yuffie's best weapon and he....DIED!!! He did NOT turn into some wierd item! So, I guess that's the end of that rumor. Now Ruby...

Ruby Weapon

1,000,000 HP 900 MP
50,000 EXP 50,000 AP

Ruby Weapon, now she is TOUGH. I don't know if anyone knows when and why she appears. She came up after I left the Gold Saucer with Omnislash, W-Summon, and Final Attack. Give one of your characters ALL of the Master Summons, Magic AND Command. You can load up the other two with whatevers left. Then give him Revive+Final Attack(not phoenix, it'll heal her), the W-Summon, the W-Magic, the shield, a Mystile armor, and a ribbon. Keep fighting her until she leaves the one with all of the best stuff alive. Cast shield and haste on yourself first. Cast KotR on her once and then her stalks once and just mime it over and over until you need to heal up. Sometimes she leaves two people there, so give them some good stuff.

The Turks (Elena, Rude, and Reno)

HP and MP-n/a

Every battle with the Turks, excluing the one on disc 1, are ones in which you should steal from each and every member of the Turks. They have some kickass items on them. Elena has Minerva Bands(nice armor for women), Rude has Ziedrichs(most powerful armor but won't hold materia), and Reno has Tough Rings(Accessories that raises vitality and spirit). The only battle with them that is difficult is the last one, in Midgar on disc 2. And it is only hard when each of them is alive. All you need to do is to keep hastened and have barriers of both kinds at all times. Each one of them is healed by a different element so try to steer away from ice, fire, and bolt attacks. Ultima, Tornado, non tri-elemental spells like Aqualung, physical attacks, and Limit Breaks are what you should use.

EXP and AP-n/a

Jenova

65,535 HP 3,000 MP

Jenova isn't much of a threat in any of her battles with you unless you have insufficient experience points. But if you're even remotely built-up then don't expect too much of a challenge from her. Just hasten up at the start, you should probably put up some barriers too. As long as you use high-end spells, then you should have no trouble. I finished her off with two quadra-cuts so you see why I say that she's weak.

60,000 EXP 0 AP

Bizzaro Sephiroth

82,500 HP 3,000 MP

I don't understand why they made this a multi-party battle. You can take him with your best guys. And make sure they are the ones in group one because they go on to the next fight. Just use non-elemental attacks on the upperchest. The arms will die from the spells that attack all opponnents. Keep well healed from start to finish. Once again, not a tough battle.

0 EXP 0 AP

One-Winged Angel Sephiroth (Safer Sephiroth)

150,000 HP 8,500 MP

This is a tough battle, the finale, the showdown, the... well, you get it don't you? Sephiroth can do some nifty things to hurt you but if you keep as healed up as possible and use the best things you have, you should be able to beat him. If you can't win, you must not be strong enough or just don't fight the best fight you can. His Super Nova is really something to see, by the way. This is the last real fight in the game so enjoy it. I really like the music in nthis fight, it's pretty cool. So anyway, if you give all of your best stuff to your best guys(or girls), you will stand a formidable chance against him. When he moves up really high, you can't hit him with physical attacks. You should get rid of his Wall since that's his first move. Powerful attacks like Buhamut ZERO, Contain, Quadra Cut, and Ultima are important. With Mime, Quadra Magic, Knights of the Round, and any other powerful attacks you are almost guaranteed a victory.
