My bio doesnt read much differently than a lot of others Ive seen. I have always had the desire and some talent (I think). Now that the kids are grown up, I have a little time to play. But my bio is about more than that; its about a promise I made to a drawing instructor back in 78 and the promise I made to myself. So in 2001, I took the first step in doing something about my dream to pursue my art.
I earned my BFA in Drawing in 1978 from Edinboro State University in Pennsylvania. I had wanted to try my hand at watercolor and pastel, but expenses made that prohibitive. So along with my usual mediums of pencil and pen/ink, I have now set out to accept the new challenge. I have also discovered new interests in Life Drawing and Portraiture, which Ive never had the opportunity to explore before now.
I have chosen subjects that evoke a certain feeling for me. I call them my visual comfort foods. Because I have just become a serious dabbler, I am looking forward to what my artistic future will bring. I invite you to check back often to see the progress! |
