CONTROLLING YOUR TONGUE

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
    PROVERBS 18:21

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your
mouth, but what is good for necessary edification,
that it may impart grace to the hearers.
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil
speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiv-
ing one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
    EPHESIANS 4:29, 31-32

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
    PROVERBS 16:24

O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your
trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and
contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge -
by professing it some have strayed concerning the
faith. Grace be with you. Amen.
    1 TIMOTHY 6:20-21

He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he
who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.
    PROVERBS 13:3

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart
brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil
treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the
abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
    LUKE 6:45

But I say to you that for every idle word men may
speak, they will give account of it in the day of
    judgment.
    MATTHEW 12:36

Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His won-
    drous works!
    1 CHRONICLES 16:9

Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul
    from troubles.
    PROVERBS 21:23

Do not be a witness against your neighbor without
cause, for would you deceive with your lips?
    PROVERBS 24:28

Avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and
strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and
    useless.
    TITUS 3:9

As long as my breath is in me,
And the breath of God in my nostrils,
My lips will not speak wickedness,
    Nor my tongue utter deceit.
    JOB 27:3-4

As He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all
    your conduct.
    1 PETER 1:15

    Who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return;
when He suffered, He did not threaten, but commit-
ted Himself to Him who judges righteously.
    1 PETER 2:23

He who would love life and see good days, let him
refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speak-
    ing deceit.
    1 PETER 3:10

SIGNS OF THE END

Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken
    and the other left.
Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour
    your Lord is coming.
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is
coming at an hour you do not expect.
    MATTHEW 24:40, 42, 44

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will
come; For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of
money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
    parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving,
slanderers, without natural affection, brutal, despisers of
good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness
but denying its power. And from such people turn
    away!
    2 TIMOTHY 3:1-5

Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To
those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a sec-
ond time, apart from sin, for salvation.
    HEBREWS 9:28

And Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed
    That no one deceives you.
For many will come in My name, saying, I am the
    Christ, and will deceive many.
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See
That you are not troubled; for all these things must
come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom. And there will be famines, pesti-
lences, and earthquakes in various places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and
kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My
    names sake.
And then many will be offended, will betray one
another, and will hate one another.
Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive
    many.
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of
    many will grow cold.
But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached
in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and
    then the end will come.
    MATTHEW 24:4-14

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some
will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving
spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in
hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a
hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to
abstain from meats which God created to be received
with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the
    truth.
    1 TIMOTHY 4:1-3

But you beloved, remember the words which were
spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
How they told you that there would be mockers in the
last time who would walk according to their own
    ungodly lusts.
These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not
    having the Spirit.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your
most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep
yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
    JUDE 17-21

ANSWERED PRAYER

answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.
    ISAIAH 65:24

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will

    him.
    PSALM 91:15

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
    He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.
    PSALM 145:18, 19

and mighty things, which you do not know.
    JEREMIAH 33:3

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and
when you have shut your door, pray to your Father
who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees
in secret will reward you openly.
    MATTHEW 6:6

Whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we
keep His commandments and do those things that
    are pleasing in His sight.
    1 JOHN 3:22
