Gary Graves is a director and playwright living in San Francisco Bay Area.  SInce 1998, ha has been a company co-director of Central Works Theater Ensemble (centralworks.org) in Berkly, California.  Using the Central Works collaborative method of play development, he has written twelve plays with the company, directing many of them.  Titles include: Dostoevsky's The Grand Inquisitor, The Enemy Combatant, The Mysterious Mr. Looney, Chehov's The Duel, Lionheart, The Wyrd Sisters, Misanthrope, Mata Hari, Every Inch A King, Nightingale Lottomania: Play Here!, Pyrate Story, and IRS-I Want You. He recieved a Ph.D. in dramatic art at U.C. Berkeley in 1994, and he currently teches playwriting at the Berkley City Club in October 2005.
