Track blocked at Kawartha 2002
Peterborough 2003
We raced both the OSLR and OSCAAR series.  Unfortunately Kawartha Speedway closed this season and left the OSLR series racing soley at Mosport.  Mid-season we decided to race with the OSCAAR series in order to have adequate seat time.  This was the first season to experience the tight racing at the smaller tracks that OSCAAR runs on.  Hard work and increased seat time will help bring back the finishing positions that Evans Racing is accustomed to.  Overall it was a learning experience and hopefully we can take what we've learned and improve next year.
2003...
2002...
We raced with the OSLR series in 2002 in a new Hanley Motorsports Super Latemodel Chassis.  We raced at Mosport and Kawartha and PeeWee's consistency lead him to be the series champion.  Overall it was an eventful year and we learned a lot about the car and respective setups for the two tracks.  PeeWee won 2 dash for cash races and 1 feature.
2001...
We raced as a Super Latemodel for both the OSLR and OSCAAR series this year.  We had a new motor built by Cunningham Racing Engines and Kirk Mowatt fabricated the chassis and the body.  It was a tough year with several bouts of bad luck and rainouts.  It was also a year for learning as James got to race on several different tracks and figure out the different setups.
2000...
We raced a full latemodel season at Mosport and we had both good and bad outcomes.  James won 2 features and swept all 3 races on July 8th.  This was the first time to win all 3 events in the same night!  There also seemed to be a lot of wrecking this year, so James became a pro at making and hanging body panels!  The staff and fans decided that a grudge match between PeeWee and Jamie Hale was necessary due to several bumping incidences between the two this season.  Luckily, PeeWee won so he didn't have to go around bald!
1999...
We raced at Mosport in the Latemodel series again this season.  It was a very successful year as James brought home 5 feature wins and won 2nd place in the MVP Super Latemodel Series Challenge.
1998...
We raced as a Latemodel again at Mosport this season.  This year James got his first feature win in this class.
1997...
We started this season with a new motor from Cunningham Racing Engines and a new Jeff Hanley Latemodel chassis.  We raced at Mosport and tried our luck at Cayuga.  This season was definitely a learning experience...  we ran out of gas, broke 2 transmissions, and got black flagged!  James won 2 heat races this season and placed 2nd in the September 13th race.
1994...
1995...
1996...
We continued at Flamboro in a challenger until August when James decided he'd like to race in the  Latemodel Sportsman series at Mosport.  They lowered the Challenger and made some other adjustments and off we went!
With high aspirations to race stock cars, James and Scott Fletcher decided they'd put their talents together and build a car.  Scott looked after the chassis and the car and James built a motor with the help of Gary Cunningham.  They raced only a few times late in the season at Flamboro Speedway.  James raced twice with no luck either time!  He hit the wall the first night when the left front wheel fell off and the rear end broke his second time out.  Despite the troubles, he continued on into 1995 with even bigger dreams...
This was James' first full season of racing.  They decided to have J&S build them a new challenger for Flamboro.  This season was a great first one since James brought home 3 feature race wins and also won 'Challenger Rookie of the Year'!

July 9, 04 - KAWARTHA
The car was running very well and we were up to 3rd until the right front went down in the feature!  PeeWee won both of his heats tonight!
The car was awesome!  PeeWee faught hard for the lead for most of the race, but ended 13th since he spun on the last lap.

2004 - DIRT MODIFIED
PeeWee, Billie, the Cunninghams and our buddy Mike Hage decided to buy a dirt modified last year when things weren't going well with the OSLR series.  Now, PeeWee and Travis Cunningham are sharing the ride at Merrittville Speedway.  It's definately different from what PeeWee is used to from asphalt racing!

Sunset wreck - Aug 7, 04

A new front clip, a tail section, body panels and several new parts were the result of this wreck on the back straight at Sunset!
Mosport - August 28, 2004 - feature rained out at 23 laps
Peterborough - Sept 5, 2004 - 5th place finish.  Rode the turn 3-4 wall during first heat race while trying to pass on the outside.  The car sustained minimal body damage (this time!)

Kawartha - Sept 12, 2004 - Beiderman Memorial - 3rd place feature finish
Peterborough - October 9 & 10, 2004
The last night of the 2004 season proved to be the best in performance for Pee Wee, however it was unfortunately the worst in luck as well.  Pee Wee had a strong lead after starting on the pole and holding off strong charging Fletcher and Clarke for 20 laps.  Pee Wee ended up hitting the pit entrance wall at full speed after being tagged by a lapped car.  This put the capacity crowd to their feet expecting the worst, and suddenly Pee Wee dashed from the car to display his anger!

If nothing else, this serious wreck is a testament to the safety of the OSCAAR cars.
