HOME
Many of the tunes that Evan has recorded are his own compositions and tunes that have been written especially for him. His smooth easy style soon brought him the name, "Golden Voice of the Golden West". The CD features many of Evan's favourite tunes.
On Remembrance Day, "The Man We Never Knew" is heard around the country. Featured with Evan are Frank O'Connell, Violin, Len Knutson, Guitar and Pat Gerow, Steel Guitar.

EVAN KEMP
It was always an inpirational tune that closed the Evan Kemp TV shows, "Circle 7 Ranch" and "Cross Canada Barn Dance" and it was a popular feature with viewers of all generations.
When inspirational melodies come to mind, many recall one of these favourites. The title song, GOD IS LOVE ,  means a great dal to Evan as it was one of his mother's favourite sayings and this CD is dedicated to her as well as to Evan's wife fo 50 plus years, Laurie, who passed away in February, 2002. This song brings much comfort especially when circumstances seem overwhelming.

When Evan Kemp and his Trail Riders were blazing trails many years ago, playing to audiences in many small towns across western Canada.  Many of these fine musicians. Len Ryder, Pat Gerow, Art Ralph, and Gordie Cowan, to name a few, also laid down tracks with Evan in the recording studio. Those tunes were heard often on radio stations and "Sweet Molly Malone" was a top "Cash Box"  tune for many weeks. Red Robinson's Hit Parade in Vancouver  had "Don't Step On The Grass" at No. 1.  Evan's good friend, Norm Pringle, is composer on several numbers here including "Legend Of Turtle Mountain", which lends a plausible story to the catastriogic land slide at Frank, Alberta in 1903.
