They have various thickness and diameter sizes in the shop which then are bent and welded together. Almost all titanium frames are tig welded and cold forged for optimal strength and durability. Because titanium is so expensive most big name brand companies won't touch it. If you want to purchase a quality titanium mountain bike frame you have to go through an independant frame builder. These companies are small and make beautiful frames. The only downfall is that they will cost alot of money, but they can be custom made to fit the size and geometry you want. |
