OK, here goes... We have discovered, though hard work in computing, that we are
able to share our files with other users. Here is the lowdown...

In "My Computer", right click on you personal folder (P:) and click the
security tab. Alongside the list of users (yourself and administrator)
click "add". then in the dialogue box, enter the username of the person you
wish to add, (eg 99KGSUser). You can give different levels of access,
(read, write)Then, for the person willing to read ur files, have them open
notepad, click "file, open", then in the box, click network places, and go
into KGS-one, then pupils, then into the yeargroup of the files you wish to
access,(99 for 5th year, 00 for 4th year etc.) then the list of all the
users in the yeargroup will be shown. Then just open the folder of the
person that has shared files with you. If you only want other people to be
able to view the main directory, but able to write to a folder inside your
shared folder, do this:

Create a new folder inside your shared docs, call it fill access or
suchlike. Right click on it and select security. Click on, or make the user
who you wish to share with, and give them full access.

Note 1. Users will not be able to access a subdirectory in your folder
unless they are able to access your root folder.

Note 2. While you are here, you might as well deny the administrator access
to ur files!
