Ivy and Fred were married in St. Andrew's Parish Church, Dinas Powys, on 6th June 1927. Eva was the chief bridesmaid, and May's and Eliza's daughters were the flower-girls. The twins' brother, Hal, was best man. Eva wanted to wear a big picture hat, but was persuaded to wear the Dutch-girl hats, as they were the latest fashion.
