Once, Joey was a street kid roaming without any friends, until he and Honda was saved by Yugi...he now learns what Friendship is all about... Joey is very stubborn and too quick to act before he thinks... Joey is best friends with Yugi, Honda and Tea. He loves playing Duel Monsters too, just like yugi. He's also planning to enter the tournament so that he can win the Tournament Prize Money of 3 million dollars for her sister's, Serenity's eye opperation When they were little, they were separated far from each other because of their parent's divorce. Joey missed his little sister very much and his bond that he shares with her grew more stronger each passing day...until Serenity send him a video tape saying that she wants to see him once again before it's too late...so for his sister's sake, Joey must win the money for her. However, it's not as easy as it seems...before Joey came to the tournament with yugi, he was still a Rookie, while yugi was like a pro! He doesn't really know how to play the game very well because when yugi took a look at his cards...it was ALL monster cards!!! Yugi commented that stacking up butt-kicking monsters doesn't help hime win a duel at all. He'll need to learn more about Trap/Magic cards and work them together as combos. So Joey decided to ask Yugi's Granpa to teach him how to play the game and become a better duelist. |
