Human Impact/Use by Humans
The human populations living around South Australia and New Zealand have a great impact on the various populations of Eudyptula minor.  Cars kill many Little Penguins that are often unnoticed when they try to cross streets.  Dogs and even cats also attack and can kill adult penguins and oftern do.  Destruction of their habitat was previously a problem; however, their land has been restored due to their vast populatarity among tourists.  They do not seemed bothered by the blaring flood lights that are used to reveal the Penguin Parade (Reilly 108).  Mainly, humans live comfortably without intruding excessively with these small penguins, accounting for the species' stability in face of living so close to human populations. There main use by humans is through profit from tourism.
