INT.BEDROOM.MORNING
(The Scene starts with KOAL and JAINE sat at home just getting up
out of bed. JAINE gets out of the bed and flicks on the light switch. KOAL
slowly gets out of bed with a scowl on his face.)
JAINE
Do you think I should wear the pink top to college
today?
KOAL
Whatever.
JAINE
No need to snap.
(JAINE goes to the cupboard to find some pants. KOAL
goes and has a wash and then goes into the living room, JAINE shortly
follows.)
JAINE
What is up with you?
KOAL
What?
JAINE
As soon as you got up you bit my head off.
KOAL
No I didn't.
JAINE
Yes you did! Is it because we didn't have sex last
night!
KOAL
No.
JAINE
Bull shit! Yes it is!
KOAL
No it's not. It’s just unlike you, when the light gets turned on in the morning, it makes it more difficult for me to wake up and I get pissed off, sorry.
JAINE
Bull!
KOAL
Fine the only reason I'm pissed off is because you
keep getting pissed off for no reason!
JAINE
When!
KOAL
Every time I decide to use the computer even if it's
for work!
JAINE
No I don't!
KOAL
Yes you do! Every time I turn the computer on you pull
a right face like this...
(KOAL pulls an over exaggerated "pissed
off" face.)
KOAL
...And then you sit there with you're arm folded and
if I ask you what you wanna do because I feel bad or I ask you if you want a
game with me you snap at me and say "I told you I don't want to play"
or "I'm goin' bed, see ya later".
JAINE
I do not! I'm not pissed off I'm just bored!
KOAL
If your bored why not just tell me what you want to
do!?
JAINE
Because I don't know what I want to do!
What do you want me to do about it!
JAINE
I don't want you to do anything!
KOAL
There must be something or you wouldn't get pissed off
all the time. I can't just pluck things out of thin air, especially seeing how
I haven’t got any money!
JAINE
You don't need money to go out!
KOAL
Yes you do around here! I mean I'd take you for walks
but the only places to go are the forest, which we always go to or the duck
pond and we've been their god knows how many times too! The only other things
there are to do around here are shopping or going to the cinema, it takes
money.
JAINE
It's not my fault!
(JAINE starts to cry a bit. KOAL grits his
teeth and balls his fist then lets out a heavy breath and calms down.)
Jaine, I'm sorry. I never thought it was your fault. It's my fault I should be able to take you out more often.
(KOAL puts his arm around JAINE, trying to
comfort her)
JAINE
No it's my fault I shouldn’t get pissed off when you
play on the computer.
KOAL
Listen Jaine, lets just go to college when we get back
we can go for a walk again.
JAINE
But you said that we could only go to the forest or
the duck pond.
KOAL
Well it's better than nothing. Go clean your eyes up
babe, okay?
(JAINE nods. KOAL gives her a gentle kiss on
the lips and as they slowly part they both smile and JAINE leaves the
room, KOAL sighs, rubs his hands through his hair and then leaves. Credit
is shown (Black background white text) then cuts to JAINE
and KOAL leaving through the front door.)

JAINE

DAD
Bye!
(KOAL
closes door as they say goodbye. JAINE and KOAL start to walk
down the garden path. Halfway down the path cut to credit then cut back to KOAL
and JAINE walking down the street.)
KOAL
So,
are you meeting Lauren today?
JAINE
Ye.
We’ve got life drawing again.
(Cut
to credit then cut back to KOAL and JAINE, they have moved a
little further down the street.)
Great!
Naked women!
(KOAL
pinches JAINE’S butt.)
Shut

(JAINE
elbows KOAL and they both laugh a little. Cut to credit then back to KOAL
and JAINE, they are just getting on a bus. There are about five
people stood behind them, three of them are high school student. Cut to credit
then back to KOAL and JAINE. KOAL has his arm around JAINE as
they both look around casually. Cut to credit then to KOAL and JAINE
as the bus stops and they start to get off the bus. Cut to credit, then cut to KOAL
and JAINE as they are talking and turning a corner that heads towards
the front entrance of the college. The camera pans up on the front of the
building as KOAL and JAINE walk towards it. Title appears, faded
in over building. Cut to KOAL and JAINE walking through the main
entrance of the college.)
JAINE
I’ve
got to go to art now I’ll see you later, okay?
KOAL
All
right, see you later.
(KOAL
kisses JAINE and waves good-bye. JAINE turns left down a
corroder then KOAL turns right down a corroder and heads into the
canteen. KOAL looks across the crowded cafeteria, then heads to a table
in the far corner. There are two boys sat at the table waving to KOAL.)
ANTHONY
Koal!
About time, we’ve been waiting you know.
KOAL
Sorry.
So, what’s up?
(KOAL
sits and looks between IAN and ANOTHONY.)
IAN
Nothing
really.
KOAL

This place is always so damn boring!
ANTHONY
Well
I did hear an interesting rumour from a friend of mine last night.
IAN

It’s
this really cool place. Hyper Metalix told me about it-

canal, called ‘Scouts Tunnel’. You heard of it?

leans forward and so do KOAL and IAN.)

(A
young man hits ANTHONY on the back as he walks by.)
MAN

Ant. You better get going or you’ll be late for class.
ANTHONY

listen just meet me at the main entrance after college, I’ll tell you then.
(ANT
stands, picks up his bag and leaves.)
KOAL
What
the hell was all that about?
IAN
I
have no idea.
KOAL
Guess we better get
going to lessons as well.
(KOAL
begins to stand and so does IAN they walk across the cafeteria and
leave through the far door. Cut to JAINE sat in an art class with about
eighteen other students. They all have easels and are in a circle around a
naked woman, who is sat on a stool. LAUREN is sat to the right of JAINE.)
JAINE
You up to anything
tonight, Lauren?
(JAINE
tries to whisper as she draws.)
LAUREN

JAINE
Well
you can come to mine tonight if you want.

JAINE

(JAINE and LAUREN continue
with their work and then the model changes position. LAUREN and
JAINE get near enough a clear view of the women’s nether regions (Not seen
on camera. Would be best to place the camera just behind the naked model).)

(Cut to KOAL
and IAN, sat in the Cafeteria waiting for JAINE and LAUREN.
JAINE and LAUREN come in through the Cafeteria doors, wave and walk
over to KOAL and IAN, the two boys stand as the girls stand next
to the table.)

JAINE

Ian! Are you two ready to go.
KOAL

on Ant wanted us to meet him before we go.
LAUREN

JAINE

of Koal’s dumb friends. Do we have to see him?

JAINE

(Cut to ANT.
He is sat on the floor, against the wall of the college. As KOAL, IAN,
JAINE and LAUREN walk out of the door he stands up.)

ANTHONY

(JAINE sighs and folds
her arms.)
ANTHONY
Nice
to see you too. So, are you lot doing anything tonight?
KOAL

and me aren’t doing any thing, how about you Ian?
IAN

I’ve got nothing planned.
JAINE

ANTHONY
Because
I think we should all go camping tonight.
JAINE

Thanks but I’ll pass we’re a little old for that, don’t you think.
ANTHONY

KOAL

do you want to go?
IAN

want to go to the Scouts Tunnel, don’t you?
ANTHONY

ANTHONY

JAINE
She’s
called Lauren, ass hole.
ANTHONY

sorry. You already said you had nothing else to do, Koal why not come with me?

Why

IAN

I’ll come too then.
KOAL

JAINE

(KOAL goes up to JAINE
and whispers in her ear.)
KOAL
Come
on, you said you were bored. At least it’ll get you out of the house. Please?
(After some thought
JAINE speaks.)
JAINE
Okay!
Fine I’ll come but only if Lauren comes too.
ANTHONY
Whatever. Okay, we’ll
meet at Ian’s at about eight. Bring some camping stuff as well as lights and
all that. See ya later.
(ANT waves to his group
of friends and runs off. Cut to out side KOAL’s house. It’s dark and the
house lights are on. Cut to JAINE and KOAL in their room
gathering various supplies, like lights, food, tents, etc.)
JAINE
I
can’t believe I’m doing this. It’s being so long since I went camping.
KOAL
Tell
me about it. Hay wasn’t’ Lauren supposed to be coming?
JAINE
She
is but she had to go home to get her stuff. She’ll be here in a little while.
KOAL
Oh…
(KOAL looks at a nearby
bookshelf for a while. He walks up to it and takes a box of the shelf.)
KOAL
Jaine,
do you think I should take this?
(As JAINE
turns KOAL opens the box and removes a rather ornate dagger.)
JAINE
Don’t you dare!
(KOAL starts to twirl
the knife around in his hands.)
JAINE
Stop
it!
(KOAL stops.)
JAINE
You
know I hate knives! Especially when you play with them all the time. My sitter
cut herself doing that.
KOAL
I
know what I’m doing, Jaine.
JAINE
I don’t care.
(KOAL groans, annoyed.
JAINE walks up to him and holds KOALS hand.)
JAINE
Please Koal? I don’t
want you to hurt yourself.
(KOAL sighs and put the
knife in the box and gently through it on the bed.)
KOAL
All
right.
JAINE
Thank
you.
(JAINE hugs KOAL
and he strokes her hair softly. After a while there’s a knock at the door.
They stop and JAINE heads out of the bedroom door.)
JAINE
That’ll
be Lauren.
(Cut to the front
door of KOAL’s house. JAINE, KOAL and LAUREN
are at the door and about to leave.)
KOAL
Wait!
I forgot something!
JAINE
For
Gods sake.
I
won’t be a second, hang on.
(KOAL runs up the
stairs and into the bedroom, he picks up the knife box, after throwing it into
his rucksack, he puts the bag back on his shoulders and runs back down stairs.)
JAINE
So,
what did you forget?
KOAL
Nothing.
I thought I did but it was already in my bag.
JAINE
You’re useless
sometimes.
(They leave the
house and KOAL locks the door behind them. Cut to IAN’s
front door. IAN is off camera; we only see the door open. LAUREN,
KOAL and JAINE are stood on the other side of the door with
rucksacks. Cut to show IAN.)
IAN
Hi
ya! Come in. Ant’s not here yet.
(They all come in
the house, take off their shoes and bags and sit on the couch in the living
room.)
JAINE
Just
what I thought. He was the one that arranged this and he’s the only one that’s
late!
KOAL
He’ll
be here don’t worry.
(KOAL sighs and look
away putting his chin on his hand as he leans on the arm of the chair.)
KOAL
Whatever…
JAINE
He
just annoys me all that time. I don’t know what, it’s just every thing about
him bugs me.
IAN
So
it’s everything and nothing?
KOAL
Yep,
haha.
(They wait for a
while and after a while there is a knock at the door. IAN
gets up and answers it. ANT walks in as IAN opens the door.)
ANTHONY
Everyone
here? Good, are you ready to go?
IAN
Of
course we’re ready to go. We’ve been waiting for you.
Are
you an idiot?
(ANT shrug’s his
shoulders.)
KOAL
Erm…yep
he is.
(Every one has a
bit of a laugh and then gets their bags and shoes. IAN
locks the door behind him and the group walks away. Cut to the group walking
down an abandon road with no houses just a factory and trees. The group is
chatting and generally enjoying themselves. Cut to a bridge over the canal and
the group come on from the left, down a small slope.)
ANTHONY
It’s
down here. Come on.
(Cut to the group
following ANT and walking down the towpath of the canal. It is very dark
and the only light is from the moon.)
LAUREN
It’s
really dark out here.
JAINE
It’s
not that bad don’t be scared.
(Cut to JAINE
holding onto KOAL’s arm tight, not wanting to show anyone she is scared.
Cut to KOAL whispering in JAINES ear.)
KOAL
Jaine,
it’s okay to be scared but you don’t have to worry, you’re with us. Just stay
behind me.
(KOAL goes to the front
of the group and pulls out a flashlight.)
KOAL
I’ll
go in front for now, okay Ant? It’s not like I’m going to get us lost. We’re
just following a towpath, haha.
(The group walk for
a while and JAINE is walking just a little behind KOAL.)
ANTHONY
Hay
have you guys ever noticed that in horror movies it’s always the one at the
back that gets killed first, either that or the one at the front.
JAINE
Haha, that’s
funny…not.
(Cut to JAINE
taking hold of KOAL’s hand. Cut to LAUREN starting to walk in
front of ANT.)
LAUREN
Well
I am not going at the back then.
ANTHONY
Haha.
IAN
So
Ant, what’s so interesting about this tunnel then?
ANTHONY
Well
Hyper Metalix said that there was supposed to be some murder there.
LAUREN
WHAT!!!
KOAL
Ye
right.
ANTHONY
It’s
true! Do you know what the other name for Scout Tunnel is? … Scalped Tunnel.
(The rest of them
start to laugh.)
ANTHONY
Hay!
It’s true. Supposedly there’s some guy there that kidnaps any one that goes
through the tunnel at night. He rips of the tops of their heads and eats the
soft innards of their skulls.
IAN
Ye
and if you believe that, you believe Elvis is an Alien.
ANTHONY
I
already told you what I think about the Elvis conspiracy. Any way they always
found the bodies floating in the canal but never found out who killed them or
how.
LAUREN
Stop
it! You’re scaring me!
ANTHONY
Haha,
that’s the idea.
KOAL
Okay,
give it a rest Ant or we’ll turn back.
ANTHONY
Okay,
okay.
(They walked a little
more. Cut to KOAL’s flashlight shinning over a sign that reads “Scouts
Tunnel” with “Scalped” written in red pen across the sign. Cut to IAN
walking up to the sign to get a better look.)
IAN
Je,
do you think this is the place? Haha.
Maybe.
(Cut to
KOAL shinning his flashlight into the tunnel. Only the first few feet inside
the tunnel can be seen and there is the sound of dripping water. Cut to Every
one reaching into their rucksacks and pulling out flashlights, they shine them
into the dark tunnel.)
ANTHONY
So
who wants to go first?
(The group look between
each other then KOAL starts to walk into the tunnel.)
KOAL
Well
you wanted to come. Follow me.
(Cut to KOAL
walking into the tunnel a few feet. KOAL stops and turns to the rest
of the group.)
KOAL
Well?
Are you lot coming or not?
(Cut to the group
looking between them, then JAINE goes in the tunnel, followed by the
rest of them and they reseed into the darkness of the tunnel.)
INT.TUNNEL.NIGHT.
(Inside the cave there
is no light except that of the group’s lights. There is only the eerie dripping
of water off the wall and ceiling. As the group progresses down the tunnel the
smooth brick walls of the tunnel change to jagged rock and stone. The water in
the canal is silent and it gently flows its course. The group walk for some
time in silence. Various camera angels can be used.)
IAN
How
much longer have we got to walk?
LAUREN
Ye,
how longs this tunnel?
ANTHONY
I
don’t know.
LAUREN
What?
Then where are we heading?
ANTHONY
Well

JAINE
What’s
this?
(ANTHONY is interrupted
by JAINE, who is up front with KOAL shinning their light at
something.)

(Camera looking up at JAINE
and KOAL with their lights shinning towards the camera as ANTHONY,
IAN and LAUREN join them and look down at the camera over KOAL and
JAINE’s shoulders.)
IAN
Wow…
KOAL
Is
this what we came here for?
ANTHONY
Huh…oh…erm…ye…
JAINE
You
sure?
ANTHONY
O-of

JAINE
Well
there’s a first for every thing. So why don’t you go first?
ANTHONY

(Everyone moves aside
allowing ANTHONY to get past them a he steps over the camera. Gravel and
dirt are heard falling moving. The camera stays on the faces of the others as
they look where ANTHONY went.)
CUT
TO…
(Behind LAUREN,
IAN, JAINE and KOAL, looking into the cave. Nothing can be seen in
the blackness of the cave, all is quite except the constant drip, drip, drip of
condensation off the ceiling.)
IAN
Where is he?
JAINE
I
can’t see him.
KOAL
Ant!
Yo Ant! You okay down there?
(EVERYONE is quite as
they wait for a reply but none comes.)
LAUREN
Oh
god. Is he okay?
KOAL
God
damn it! ANT! Stop screwing around!
(Still there is
nothing.)
KOAL
I’m
going to go down and find him. Hold my bag.
(KOAL takes his
rucksack off and gives it to JAINE and he prepares to climb into the
black opening.)
ANTHONY
RAWWWWWWWWWW!!!
KOAL,
JAINE, IAN & LAUREN
AHHHHH!!!
(ANTHONY
popes up out of the cave as KOAL is about to enter.)
KOAL
Jesus
Christ!
(KOAL
hits ANTHONY across the back of the head.)
KOAL
You
dick head! Fancy doing some shit like that, we’d thought something bad might
have happened!
JAINE
Too
bad it didn’t.
ANTHONY
Ah!
Sorry it was just a joke. Any way you guys coming? It’s cool down there.

(Camera looking at the
faces of JAINE, IAN, LAUREN and KOAL. They look between each
other for a brief period.)
LAUREN
I’m…I’m
not sure I want to go through with this any more.
ANTHONY
Aw,

LAUREN
I
don’t want to!
KOAL
We’ve
come this far it would be a waste to turn back now.

(Camera is pointed at LAURENS
face. JAINE goes up to LAUREN and comforts her.)
JAINE
Lauren,
listen it’ll be okay. Nothing will happen with all of us here and all that
crap, dick head there said was bullshit. He was just trying to scare you.
LAUREN

JAINE
If
you really want to go home, we can.
ANTHONY
(Chicken
sound)

(ANTHONY still sat at
the entrance of the cave looking up to the sky whistling. KOAL elbows
him.)

(LAUREN and JAINE.
JAINE smiles to KOAL.)

(KOAL.
He nods to say “your welcome”. )

(LAUREN and JAINE.)
LAUREN
Actually, I will

(ANTHONY stood at the
side of the cave entrance motioning to LAUREN and JAINE to enter.)
ANTHONY

Well, ladies first.
KOAL
I’ll
go first.
(KOAL picks his
rucksack up off the floor then steps into the hole, IAN follows then LAUREN
and then JAINE goes to enter.)

(Side of cave so ANTHONY
and JAINE can be seen.)
JAINE
Ass
hole.
ANTHONY
Ouch,
that hurt.
(JAINE
glairs at ANTHONY then enters the cave with a growl/grunt.)
ANTHONY
I

(Behind
ANTHONY, looking into the cave. ANTHONY jumps into the cave.)
ANTHONY
Look
out below!
(The camera slowly zooms in on to the entrance. Once again only the condensation is herd. There is only a minute amount of light in the tunnel. Every thing suddenly goes black as a large form moves in front of the camera and a strange growling, hissing sound reverberates through the tunnel.)
INT.CAVE.NIGHT.
(In side the cave is
filled with stalactites n stalagmites and there are pools of water around. The
camera is facing KOAL, JAINE, LAUREN and IAN as they look around
with their torches in aw. ANTHONY comes in through a sloping opening
behind them.)
ANTHONY
See I told you this place was cool.
JAINE
Wow, give yourself a pat on the back for being right for once.
KOAL
Come on you two, give it a rest okay.
LAUREN
Ye, we’re sick of hearing your voice Anthony.
ANTHONY
Well I’m sick of your squeaking and crying too.
KOAL
Ant!
IAN
Will you shut up already!
CUT TO…
(ANTHONY does an over
exaggerated bow.)
ANTHONY
Ever so sorry my liege. Doest thou wish for thee to clean theist boot with thees tongue also?
CUT TO…
(KOAL sighing and just
walking on with every one else following.)
ANTHONY
WHAT?
CUT TO…
(Some where in the
tunnel THE GROUP is still looking around.)
IAN
Well I don’t see any murders or monsters. Does any one else?
CUT TO…
(LAUREN, leaning on a stone column.)
LAUREN
Well I don’t know about you but I don’t fancy being scalped by some psycho.
(As LAUREN rubs
her arms a bit something from the darkness behind her, reaches out. A clawed
hand grips onto her shoulder.)
LAUREN
AHHH!
(LAUREN flings the hand off and quickly turns around. ANTHONY walks out of the shadow wearing a fake monster hand.)
ANTHONY
Hahaha.
LAUREN
That’s it! I’ve had enough of you! I’m going home!
(Lauren storms off camera some where into the cave.)
ANTHONY
Hay I’m sorry all right! Come back!
JAINE
You idiot!!
(Every one runs off in the direction LAUREN had gone, ANTHONY following last.)
CUT TO…
(LAUREN, she is walking blindly though the tunnels, crying.)
LAUREN
I’m sick of that moron! Why does he have to keep doing stuff like that!
CUT TO…
(LAUREN sitting down
on a dry patch of rock.)
JAINE (OS)
Lauren! Come back!
ANTHONY (OS)
I’m sorry! I won’t do it again, I promise!
IAN (OS)
Come on Lauren!
LAUREN
Go away!
KOAL (OS)
He said he’s sorry!
JAINE (OS)
Lauren, just come out and then we’ll go home.
(LAUREN dries her eyes and looks up a dark object criss-crosses it’s way through the shadows behind her.)
LAUREN
I just want to go home!
JAINE (OS)
We will go home.
KOAL (OS)
Just tell us where you are.
LAUREN
I don’t know…
(LAUREN starts to cry again, still not noticing the approaching shadow.)
KOAL (OS)
Don’t worry. Just keep talking and we’ll follow your voice.
LAUREN

(EVERYONE looking through the cave trying to find LAUREN.)
JAINE
Anything Lauren. Why not just call Anthony every thing you can think of, he deserves it hehe.
ANTHONY

(LAUREN still sat on the floor clearing her eyes.)
LAUREN

(ANTHONY still looking.)

(LAUREN.)
LAUREN

(EVERYONE looking for LAUREN and snickering at ANTONY.)

(LAUREN sees the lights from the others torches. She stand and starts to shout and wave.)

LAUREN

(In front of LAUREN as she waves then a black shadow rises up behind her.)
LAUREN
HERE JAINE!
SHADOW

(LAUREN slowly turns around.)

(KOAL and every one sighing in relief and jogging a bit to the sound of LAUREN’s voice.)

Bloody hell I was worried then.
JAINE
Me too, I thought-
LAUREN (OS)
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
IAN
SHIT!
(They break into a run
as they hear LAUREN’s screams fill the cave.)
CUT TO…
(LAURENS rucksack
on the floor as KOAL and EVERYONE come around a corner and their
light shine over it.)
JAINE
Oh god!
(JAINE breaks into
tears as she runs to the bag and grabs hold of it. KOAL, IAN and ANTHONY stand
behind her.)
KOAL
Jaine…
JAINE
Oh god, Lauren…Lauren! Sob, sob.
(KOAL goes to reach

jumps up and runs at ANTHONY knocking him to the ground as she starts
hitting him in the chest screaming and crying.)
JAINE
THIS IS YOUR FAULT YOU SON OF A BITCH! I’LL KILL YOU! I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU!
ANTHONY
Ah, Get her off me!
(KOWL runs over and
pulls JAINE off ANTHONY as IAN helps ANTHONY up.)
IAN
You all right?
ANTHONY
Ye. Apart from that crazy bitch attacking me.
CUT TO…
(KOAL turning sharply and storming towards ANTHONY. Before he can react ANTHONY is thrown to the floor by the force of the blow KOAL gave him to the face.)
KOAL
I swear! One more FUCKING WORD out of you and I’ll kill you.
(KOAL walks back over to JAINE and starts to hug her as she cries. IAN doesn’t even help ANTHONY up again.)
IAN
I think we better get out of here.
JAINE
NO! Not with out Lauren!
IAN
But what are we meant to do? We should just go and get the police.
JAINE
No, I’ll look for her by myself if I have to!
KOAL
Jaine, you can’t.
JAINE
Watch me!
KOAL
…We’re going back.
ANTHONY
Ha.
(KOAL glares at ANTHONY)
KOAL
After we have a look for Lauren. If we can’t find her then we go. Okay?
JAINE
But we can’t just leave her!
IAN
Jaine, we don’t know what’s happened to her. If we can’t find her soon then we need to get help to look for her as quick as possible so we’ll need to leave here.
(JAINE looks away.)
KOAL
Jaine, he’s talking sense.
JAINE
…Okay.
(JAINE walks away and
KOAL places his hand on her back.)
KOAL
Right. Well there are only to ways into this part of the cave the way we came and that way.
(KOAL nods towards the other end of the cave.)
JAINE
And that’s he way we’re going.
(JAINE walks off leaving ANTHONY, IAN and KOAL. Cut to in front of the three boys looking after JAINE and then following. Cut to JAINE, ANTHONY, IAN and KOAL walking through the tunnels. ANTHONY is at the back and then walks to the front next to JAINE.)
ANTHONY
Listen. Jaine. I’m sorry, I was acting like a dick back there.
JAINE
About time you noticed.
ANTHONY
Hay! I’m trying to apologise here!
JAINE
Tell it to some one that cares.
(JAINE starts to walk faster and ANTHONY drops back. Cut to IAN and ANTHONY walking side by side.)
ANTHONY
Man talk about PMT.
IAN
Listen Ant, I think you’ve done enough damage for now so-
KOAL (OS)
Ant, Ian, get other here!
(Cut to KOAL’s face, ANTHONY, IAN and JAINE come up behind him.)
IAN
What is-
KOAL
SH! (Whisper) Can you hear that?
IAN
(Whisper) What?
KOAL
(Whisper) That!
JAINE
(Whisper) Koal I can’t hear anything.
KOAL
(Whisper) Just listen.
(Every one strains to hear through the darkness except for ANTHONY. ANTHONY stands up right with his arms crossed. A faint crunching, squelching sound is just audible ahead in the tunnel. Silent he group started to move forward through a small passage in front of them. Cut to in front of the group, walking through the cave, switching between looking in front of the group ad at them. The sound gradually grew louder and a strange odder began to fill he air. KOAL’s torch shone over the walls of the cave and then for a split second KOAL’s light shines over something white and red on the floor with a dark shape crouched over it, with it’s back to the group. Bringing his light back to bear on the shapes, the hulking black shape turned sharply with a growl. Cut to KOAL and every one backing up down the tunnel.)
KOAL
RUN!!!
(They all quickly turn on the spot and tack off through the narrow tunnel. A raw echoes through the tunnel. Cut to the back of the group as they run looking back repeatedly as the creature chases them. They ran through a series of twists and turns and gradually the screams from the angry beast grew quieter. Stopping for a while they all tried to catch the breath. The creature’s horrible shrieks had stopped and they believed they were safe.)
IAN
What that fuck was that!
KOAL
How the hell would I know? Do you know anything? You brought us all down here!
ANTHONY
Listen! I don’t have any fucking idea what the hell that was. I just thought I could pull of a few pranks, you know for a laugh.
KOAL
LAUGHS! Laurens missing probably even dead!
JAINE
She is…
KOAL
What?
JAINE
She’s already dead…that, that thing! Was…
KOAL
Was what Jaine?
JAINE
IT WAS FUCKING EATING HER ALL RIGHT!
(JAINE begins to sob
out loudly.)
IAN
Are you sure, I mean it might have been some sought of animal, a badger
or something?
JAINE
Do you think I’m stupid! Of course it was her!
IAN
Okay, I was just trying to help I-
KOAL
Ian just leave it, okay.
(Cut to IAN leaning against the cave wall not noticing a gaping hole in the wall near his feet. Cut to KOAL and JAINE.)
KOAL
Shhh, it’s okay. Listen if that’s true then all we can do is get out of here and call the police, okay.
JAINE
Sniff…okay
KOAL
Grate and the sooner the bet-
IAN
Wahh!
(Cut to IAN as he is dragged across the floor into the hole that was near his feet.)
KOAL
IAN!
(KOAL lunges forward and grabs IAN’s hands, he struggles as IAN is pulled down the hole. JAINE joins him and grads IAN’s hand too.)
KOAL
Hold on! Argh! Ant! Help
IAN
Help! ARGH!
(Cut to ANTHONY backing away from them shaking his head.)
ANTHONY
No…
(Cut to KOAL)
KOAL
WHAT! ANT! GET OVER HERE NOW!
(Cut to ANTHONY as he begins to back away quicker and shakes his head faster.)
ANT
No…no…NO, NO!
(ANTHONY turns and runs off into the tunnels. Cut to KOAL)
KOAL
ANT! GET BACK HERE!
IAN
ARGH! Don’t let go, please don’t let go!
KOAL
I won’t! I won’t! Just hold on!
IAN
God I don’t wanna die!
JAINE
You won’t die Ian, just hold on tight!
(Cut to IAN’s hands
slipping through KOAL’s grip.)
IAN (OS)
Koal, I’m slipping!
KOAL (OS)
Come on Ian! Hold tighter!
(Cut to IAN’s terrified Face.)
IAN
I can’t!
(Cut to KOAL as he continues to struggle.)
KOAL
Try!
(Cut to JAINE)
JAINE
Please Ian!
IAN
AH!
(Cut to behind IAN as KOAL finally loses his grip and IAN is yanked down the hole, screaming.)
KOAL&JAINE
IAN!!!
(KOAL tries to go down the hole after IAN but JAINE stops him.)
KOAL
Jaine! What are you doing!
(KOAL struggles to try and get his hand out of JAINE’s grip.)
JAINE
You know you can’t go after him! Just like I couldn’t go after Lauren.
(KOAL finally stops
struggling and JAINE lets him go.)
KOAL
Damn it!
(KOAL kicks a stone
violently and if goes flying of into the darkness, only the reverberating sound
of it colliding with stone can be heard.)
KOAL
Well we at least better find where Ant is no matter how much of an ass hole he is.
JAINE
If it was my choice…I’d leave him here.
KOAL
Well you know what it’s not! Okay? Now we’re going to find him and get out of here!
(KOAL notices JAINE coil back from his outburst.)
KOAL
Sigh...I’m...I’m sorry.
JAINE
Save it. Let’s just go find the ass hole.
(KOAL and JAINE walk out of camera shot. Cut to ANTHONY running madly through the tunnels. Not caring where he’s heading finally he turns a corner and hits a dead end. He slams against the wall and is gasping for air on the flor. Suddenly a faint Clicking/Growling noise is herd and ANTHONY starts to wave the torch around in the darkness to see if anything’s there. There’s nothing. ANTHONY tries to calm down but then the sound starts again. Once again he franticly searches the dark pressing him self as close to the wall as he can. The sound gets louder then the light starts to flicker.)
ANTHONY
FUCK! Come on! Don’t die on me!
(ANTHONY whips off his rucksack and empties the contents for his spare batteries but he can’t find them amongst the rest of the stuff. The Lights flickering and going dim, the nose is getting louder and ANTHONY picks up the pace to find the batteries he finds them but in his rush he drops them and they role away. Quickly he crawls after them, the monsters noises are more frequent and louder than ever. Cut to a single battery on the floor as ANTHONY’s light shines over it and he crawls across to it. As ANTHONY puts is hand on the battery his light catches something else in front of him. Cut to the camera on ANTHONY’s face, as he looks up in fear babbling and shacking. Then the light flickers one more time and goes out. ANTHONY’s screams of fear and pain are heard through out the entire cave.)
