Untitled 1

I see your face

in my minds eye

suddenly I am lost

thrown into a maelstrom

of shifting promises

wrong and right

your visage implanting

sending out shoots

consumes my dreams

and waking sleeps

sweat drenched

with the taste

of a rubyflavored kiss

fresh on my mouth

but is instead replaced

with the everpresent

chemical craving

burning me from the inside out

tendrils of cannabis

twist through my bloodstream

to ease me back into reality

on a cloud

as I lie back

and try not to let my mind stray

to forbidden things

Of Which We Do Not Speak

or how much I want you

to be here with me
