The Sun Pyramid
Teotihuacan "Land of the Gods" or "Where the Gods dwell", it is clear  that this place was considered like a Sacred City. But it remains one of the greatest mysteries because when the Aztecs people came upon the city its 200,000 people were gone, they vanished without leaving a trace.
The "Stone of the Sun" better known as "The Aztec Calendar", is one of the most beautifull sculpted pieces left by the Aztec Civilazation. In its central part it represents the God Huitzchilopotztli "God of the Sun" surround by 365 named boxes (days) organized in 12 main holidays (months), which were distributed in four    elements (seasons) each one represented by an animal.
Each city, town or village has once or twice a week (mainly set on Sunday and Wednesday mornings) its colourfull native market where you can find local arts and crafts, exotic fruit and vegetables, food, soft drinks (sodas), clothing, live animals, meat and some times even xolo pupps.
Mexico is full of amazing destinations such as Acapulco, Tulum, Chichenitza, Palenque, Merida, Oaxaca, Guaymas, Huatulco, Xel-Ha, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, San Cristobal de las Casas, Valle de Bravo, Puebla, Veracruz, Guadalajara, Can Cun, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Tepoztlan, Cuernavaca, Guanajuato, Hermosillo, Tepozotlan, Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, Cholula, Baja California, Tula... just to mention a few.
