GREECE
Greece is located at the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula.  After its conquest by Rome in the 2nd Centry BC Greece became a poor and insignificant province firstly of the Roman Empire then the Byzantine Empire and finally the Ottoman Empire.  It won its independence in 1829.
GREENLAND
Greenland is a Danish Island lying mostly within the Arctic Circle.  Denmark managed to retain control of Greenland even after Norway was detached from Denmark at the Congress of Vienna in 1815.  The Danes established trading posts on the Island, and as early as the end of the 18th century they had created a  monopoly over Greenlandic trade through the Royal Greenland Trading Company.
HUNGARY
Hungary is a small country in East Central Europe wedged between Austria, Czechoslovakia, Russia, Rumania and Yugoslavia.  It is a land locked country.  The traditional founding date given for the Hungarian State is 1001 when King Stephen was crowned.  In 1526 the Hungarians suffered a defeat by the Turkish armies.  Much of the country fell into Turish hands becoming part of the Ottoman Empire.
HANOVER
Hanover is a historic region and former kingdom, now in Germany.  At the end of the 17th century, Hanover emerged as an independent electorate in the Holy Roman Empire.  In 1815 Hanover was raised to the status of a Kingdom in the  German Confederation.  The Kingdom as annexed by Prussia in 1866.
