1. Insert CD and install your favorite flavor of Windows 2000, or boot from the CD and install.  You may also elect to create .ISO files and then burn your own (bootable) CD's using your favorite burning software, such as Nero or EasyCD Creator.

If windows then asks you for ACTIVATION, you should

1. Boot up in SAFE MODE (press F8 during Windows loading).

2. Run activate.exe.

3. Reboot.

 

There are two exceptions where windows will ask to be activated:

1. Very unlikely:  Crash/turn off without proper shutdown, then next bootup 14 days (or whatever your grace period is)  after the last bootup Windows will say you have to activate before you can log on.  Click cancel to shutdown the machine, then windows will be unlocked again from the next boot.

2. More likely:  If you have an uptime greater than the grace period, and you do Switch User, you will not be able to log onto any new sessions without logging off all other sessions, but you will be able to reconnect to any active sessions.

 

Note: This is volume license version, which means no activation needed.  Use one of the serials below to install:

3. Run AntiWPA3.cmd in the AntiWPA folder to disable activation in non-corprate installs.

1.  Install by running SETUP.EXE.

2.  Run Register.exe in the \Registration\ folder on the CD to generate registration info.  Use of type 'Forensic' is suggested.

3.  Click on Help/Register on the main WinHex screen, then copy/paste your complete registration info into the box to register.

0.  Turn off your internet connection and keep it off until installation/registration is complete!

1.  Install the app. 

2.  Copy Register.exe from the \Installation\ folder on the CD to the folder on your hard drive where you installed WinRAR (probably C:\Program Files\WinRAR). 

3.  Run Register.exe to register the app.  -- That's it!

0.  Disable your internet connection, if any. Then perform either step 1. or step 2. below.

1.  Copy the file licssg.txt from the \Registration\ folder on the CD to the \system32\ folder on your hard drive.  The \system32\ folder will be a subfolder of either your \Windows\ folder or your \WINNT\ folder, depending on which version of Windows you are running.

2.  Copy Register.exe from the \Registration\ folder on the CD to a convenient location on your hard drive and run it.  Type in any Name and Company to generate a personalized licssg.txt file.  (Leave the Quantity box unchanged.)  Then copy the licssg.txt you have just made to your \system32\ folder.

3.  Begin installing the software.  When asked for the activation info, browse to the licssg.txt file in your \system32\ folder to provide the activation info.  Then finish the installation.
