0.  Disconnect from your internet connection.

1.  Install and enter the following serial:

 

0.  Disconnect from the internet using a software firewall such as ZoneAlarm (or by mechanically unplugging).

1.  Install Nero from CD1.  Run setup.exe if the install process does not start automatically. 

2.  Run Register.exe located in the \Registration\ folder on CD1 to generate needed serial numbers. 

3.  Optional:  Run autorun.exe on CD2 if the install process does not start automatically, in order to access the tutorial software. 

 

1.  Install using this serial:

2.  Apply updater by running setup.exe

    from the NOF8_Update folder.

 

Note:  Prior to 2004 no registration procedure was required.  For WinFax Pro 10.03, follow instructions on CD case back.  GoBack 4.0 does not require any serial number or activation.  For all 2004 & 2005 applications except NIS 2005 and Ghost 9.0, follow the procedures below. 

1.  Open the folder for the application you wish to

install, and copy the file REGISTRATION\REGISTER.EXE

(or REGISTER\KEYGEN.EXE) to your desktop.

2.  Run NAVSETUP.EXE or CDSTART.EXE or NCDSTART.EXE or SETUP.EXE to install the Software, and use REGISTER.EXE (or KEYGEN.EXE) to generate a Key Code.

4.  Go to Product Activation, select "Activate your product now, but skip registration."  It will

complain that it can't connect to Symantec servers.

5.  Press next until you get to the retry screen. KEEP TRYING UNTIL THE ACTIVATION SCREEN APPEARS!   

6.  Select "Activate my software by phone" and use REGISTER.EXE (or KEYGEN.EXE) once more to get ther final unlock code.

7.  Mission  accomplished!  (You may now connect to the internet again.

 

 

Install using the corresponding lettered serial number:

 

Restart Windows when suggested.  After re-boot, a Norton screen appears.  STOP!!!  UNPLUG your network cable!!  (Or block internet access with a software firewall such as ZoneAlarm.)  You must do this to prevent connection to the internet!!!

 

Click 'Next'.  An "Activation" screen appears.

Click 'Next'.  A warning pops-up.

Click 'OK'.  The warning disappears.

Click 'Next'.  The program attempts to phone home and eventually gives up.  This may take several minutes; be patient!

If an internet browser window opens (perhaps obscuring the other windows), just close it.

 

A new screen appears allowing you to check a little box marked 'Activate By Phone'

Click 'Next'.  An "Activation" screen appears.

In step #3 on that screen there are a lot of blank boxes.

Fill all the boxes EXCEPT the last one with all zeros.

Fill the last box with zeros ending with the last three digits being 850 (Norton AV 2006); or the last three digits of the last box being 365 (Norton Internet Security 2006); or 999 (Norton SystemWorks 2006 Premier).  Then click 'Next'.  It will think about this for a few seconds, and then an "Activation Complete" screen appears.  Note your lengthy 'subscription' period!!

 

RESTORE YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION!  Wait a few seconds for Windows to realize it is internet aware again, then click 'Next'.  You will see a "Create your Norton Account" screen.  Click the 'SKIP' button.  A "Security" screen pops up. Check the little box and then click the 'Next' or 'Finish' button at the bottom.  On the "Thank You" screen (if any) that pops up, click the 'Finish' button.  Let it do its live update and a full scan.  That's it!

connection.  Run NCDSTART.EXE  and

install using one of these serial numbers:

Reboot computer if necessary; block your internet connection again!  After entering the serial, close program, restart, then close again.  You may then turn your internet connection back on.

 

1.  Install.  When it asks for activation, choose "later".

2.  Run REGISTER.EXE in the \REGISTRATION\ folder on the CD to activate. 

NOTE: Turn off/uninstall the automatic update service (Symantec LiveUpdate, etc.). 

 

Install using one of the keys below:

Copy KEYGEN.EXE from the \REGISTER\ folder on the CD to your desktop.  Restart NIS 2005.  When prompted to activate, make sure you are disconnected from the internet.  After it fails to connect to the server choose activate by phone and use KEYGEN.EXE to generate an unlock code.  Restart.

 

0.  Disconnect from the internet or block with firewall during the entire installation and activation process. 

1.  Install using REGISTER.EXE in the \REGISTER\ folder on the CD for installation and activation.  When activating, after a couple of tries (be persistent!) it will redirect you to phone activation, where you can use the keygen to activate. 

2.  After installation is completely finished you may reconnect to the internet. 

0.  Turn off your internet connection by either unplugging or blocking access via a software firewall such as ZoneAlarm. 

1.  Install using the following serial number:

2.  Keep your internet connection turned off until after first running PartitionMagic.  (Do not attempt to register the software online.)

(Note:  Those are zeroes, not letter "O.")

 

1.  Copy the file license.dat to your My Documents folder or other convenient location.  Then edit the first line of this file, changing flexlmhostname to your computer's full computer name.  You can determine this name in Windows XP by clicking on the System icon in Control Panel and clicking on the Computer Name tab.  It is the Full computer name that you want, not the Computer description (in the box).  Leave off the period at the end if there is one.  If your computer's name is, for example, user1, the first line of your revised license.dat will become SERVER user1 ANY 5280

HINTS:  You may use Notepad or Wordpad to do the edit, saving the result as a plain text file.  If your editor refuses to save the file, exit the editor, right-click on license.dat, click on Properties, uncheck the Read-only box and save.  Then go back and edit the file.

2.  Launch setup and choose "Setup licensing."

Ignore the Port Number & Host Name boxes on the next screen.  Browse to your license.dat file in the top box, then press "Next" several times.  Ignore the license parsing nagbox, which is a nice fake one, and answer yes when prompted to install products.**

3.  At the "Control File Location" dialog, just clear up the text box (MAKE IT BLANK!) and then press next.  Now you have to choose products*** to install and finally press next several times.  Reboot and you will be done.

If you want to use specctra in autoplacer mode you need

to get psd+psd license.  We on purpose did not include

specctra autoplacer because it is not supposed to be

enabled within OrCAD.

 

*** Note 2:  Depending on the speed of your CPU you may experience long waits during installation.  This is normal.  You may wish to install only one or two components at a time if you find such long waits disturbing.
