Isabel is my Spanish senorita, as I like to say. Not exactly a
living, breating being, but an organism with which I share a symbiotic
relationship with.
Well, actually she's an Alhambra 8C classical, with a
solid cedar top, and solid East Indian redwood on her back and sides. Spanish
cedar on the neck with ebony reinforcement completes the picture. She was
handcrafted from February-July 2002. I got her on the 12th
of January 2006. She's one heck of a beauty.
Good places for classical
guitars and related stuff in Singapore are Tomas Music in New Roxy Square
Shopping Centre, (Yamaha) Music Plaza in Plaza Singapura, Davis Guitar in
Peninusula Shopping Centre, Just Strings in Bras Brasah Complex and Synwin in
Tanjong Katong Complex.
I started
on the CG in November 1998, but wasn't really into it. Then I rediscovered the
CG (I previously used a 25 year old Yamaha G-235, 'inhereited' from my dad) -
naturally, the works of Tarrega, Sor, Aguado
and especially Bach caught my interest.
