| 22/02/2003 1pm Yesterday was the morning after the night before. I had been to a belated birthday party and awoke with the worst hangover I have in a long while. My head was pounding so bad I could of plugged my guitar in and used the pain as a metronome. I was ill. To make matters worse, I had to go and sign on. You ever tried to walk up a steep band while feeling like a washing machine. Not very nice I can tell you. I thought I was going to throw up over my advisor at the Job Centre. Your head is sore, you feel like you want to die and of course you always get the "It's your own fault, no sympathy" rant. Yeah I know it's my own fault, I know I shouldn't have drank that much, but I did, and I'm paying for it now. So shut up and get me some alka seltzer. I slept most of yesterday, apart from signing on, and watching a few episodes of Auf Wiersersehen Pet, (a programme I have really got into recently) I was lying in bed, having some really weird dreams. The one I mainly remember was forming a band with Mark Knopfler and Michael Jackson. Strange, I like a few Dire Straits numbers but I've never been a Jackson fan, so I wonder where that came from. Actually, bollocks. Just realised I missed "Fist of the North Star" last night. I'd heard it was a pile of crap, but I like to make my own mind up about these things. Anyway, I've seen "Adventure Duo", so nothing can get much worse, and anyway, how many times do you get anime on BBC1? Before I came through here I found an old indie compelation CD. Shine 3. Forgot how good it was. At the time of writing, Shed Seven - "Where have you been tonight?" is playing, very good song, not as good as "Cut the Mullet" by Wesley Willis, but a good track. (If you have Kazaa or something similar, and haven't already, get the MP3's. (Just to keep it legal, remember MP3s are only for trying out material. Please do not steal from artists and by the CD. especially Classless and Free by Egocentric, available on www.egocentric.tk)- (Yeah it was a cheap plug, but it's my website, so sod off!) I'm hungry now, so I'm going home to get some grub and watch the footy. If we win, great, if not, then thats the next rant sorted! |
