Jasper and Doris Edwards
Jasper Edwards resided in  Lawrenceville, VA along with his wife, Doris until he departed this earth on January 23, 2003.  He will be missed dearly by his friends and family.  He was 79 years old. My friends Bill and Dorothy Taylor and my wife and myself  visited Jasper and Doris a number of times since we reunited.  Jasper was in the Rangers and was taken prisoner at Anzio, Italy alongside the rest of us.  Jasper managed to stay with our group throughout our ordeals as Prisoners of War.  As with Bill Taylor, after we were released, we didn't keep up with one another.  We all had our lives to lead and families to take care of, and we lost touch. Over the past few years, we've all managed to keep up with each other, and still enjoy talking to one another.  We usually never talk about our experiences as P.O.W.'s, which is kind of ironic, considering that it's the main thing that we all have in common.

Other than being a special friend, Jasper was a retired mail carrier, and his wife Doris, is still currently employed by the U.S.P.S.
Roy Larson and his lovely wife, Nell reside in Moyie Springs, Idaho.  Roy was a Ranger, and was captured at Anzio along with the rest of us. The last time I saw Roy face to face was in 1945 when we were being liberated by the Russians.  We have spoken on the phone a few times since then, but my buddy Bill Taylor is the only one of us who has visited him.  Roy sent me this picture of him and his wife for the purpose of the web-site.  One day maybe all of us will get together again under better circumstances.
