Free Time!
Right now I'm pretty busy working on my writing and music.  I finished a soundtrack to a book, Blood of the Dragon in May 2002 and I am now helping to rewrite the book itself.     My first CD is in completed but awaiting release.  I'm working on my second CD, which will acutally come out first sometime aournd Christmass of 2002.  I try to get my music done nocturnally when I'm not at workin' for Da Man to get my bills paid.  I do a variety of creative and fun activities to get away from it all....
I play guitar, drums, and keyboards. I have a recording studio set up and have been studying how mastering and mixing is done. I like to write my own lyrics and music. My influences are varied but I try more to emulate the feel of my favorite musicians rather than a certain style.
Know anyone who doesn't watch sports?  You do now! . Playing them is cool, but watching them just doesn't make sense to me. Bar sports are cool. Like darts or pool, as long as the tunes are good and no one is too centered on winning.  Just look out for the drunk guy with the steel darts.
I like to work out, go on road trips, go out with friends, and do active types of things. One thing you will never catch me doing is watching TV programs or following sports. I love to read. I try to read all the Star Wars (before you groan, at least check one out)  books but like many types of writing, be it fiction, non-fiction, or even technical. I keep a bible next to the bed, as well as a book on music theory but they  usually put  me right out if I can't sleep.  A little is better than none though.
I also like to write short stories and seem to be toying with a couple book ideas dealing with characters in a sci-fi type of setting. A friend of mine, Matt who I did Blood of the Dragon with, keeps trying to get together with me to work on a screenplay, so I've got some ideas floating around for that as well. But that's more gen-x type stuff rooted in the real world.
I love going out to watch movies, especially with another person so we can talk about it after it. If I'm totally bored, I like to rent a couple and relax. I am known to my friends as the guy who likes everything. To me, a good movie is one that makes me forget what's going on for a couple hours. If the flick is cheesy and/or independent than I'm interested that much more.
I recognize, it's not what you're doing; it's who you're with that matters.  A good friend can make a boing place cool.  If I'm with  friends doing something, that's the important thing.  The more the better.
