ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
Introduction: Why uncertainty? How to be sure of our Salvation? It is possible to be sure? …. YES.
Uncertainty…..due to misinformation regarding who God is, lack of understanding of the true meaning of the works of Jesus.
1.0 What is Assurance of Salvation
Assurance of Salvation means that a person is absolutely confident that he/she is saved.

2.0 How to be sure?
2.1 Receiving Jesus Christ as Saviour and following Him as Lord involves one’s intellect, emotions and.
2.1.1 FACT: Claims of Christ - The Lordship - His divinity - His works & its sufficiency for your salvation
2.1.2 FAITH: Need of faith – Acts: 16:31
2.1.3 FEELING: Response to a specific act, event or experience.
2.2 Steps: 2.2.1 Intellectual understanding: MIND Receiving Christ is to honestly face the claims of Christ and believe intellectually. 2.2.2 Volitional Commitment: WILL You need to make a willful commitment to a person. Faith is required for this. – Acts: 16:31. (Faith means unquestioning confidence). 2.2.3 Emotional Involvement: EMOTION (Reaction to a specific act) excited state of mind.
Being sure that you’re saved, also involves the emotions. Each one of us, when we receive Jesus Christ will have different kind of emotional experience.
